swelling eyes, any cure?

What's the best cure for cocks with swelling on the eye(s). I knwo that chicken with flu tends to have this symptom but this case in different. Any tip on how I can deal with this problem? What's the best medicine?

For an initial guess, i would say most likely it is one of the several varieties of CRD... Use baytril injectible, give 0.5cc on the breast for 3-5 days, and also make sure he has access to water at all times. Another good option is Terramycin LA, 0.5cc on the breast for 3-5 days, and if it is any form of CRD, you should see improvements in 2 days time...

that is coryza with swelling also around the nose and eyes. or for more cheaper medication and as my practice, i use the generic of chloromycetin. i give 500mg on the fisrt day, 250 mg on the 2nd, none on the 3rd and another 250 mg on the fourth day.

it is advised to stop giving anti-biotic for a while if there has been observed no sign of any improvement for the first application, as overdosing from anti-biotic will result in twisting their necks.

know first to wat causes that swelling, it might be coryza, swolen head syndrome, etc... by proper hygine and sanitation in the farm can also reduce these incidence. if you bought a stocks from other farms be sure to know their vaccination coz this might bring new strains(virus or bacteria) in your farm.
