black traveler

i just recently acquired a black traveler cross hen from a friend. any idea about this breed? to what bloodline should i cross it to get the best results?

You can cross your black traveller to any Hatch line or grays.:) They are good for long knife,specially when matured.

thank you for the replies, mates. should i cross my black traveler to the ones you suggested, what will be the advantages and disadvantages?

a. hatch x black traveler
b. grey x black traveler
c. asil x black traveler

i am relatively new to the sport. in fact, i am just going to (hack)fight my first personally conditioned gamefowl tomorrow. a 2year old hatch-cross and tipping the scales at 2.4kgs, i hope he will make minced-meat of his opponent. wish us luck, guys. :)

Ok, you cross a hatch to a black to add more bottom, power and gameness. You use an asil to add more power, accuracy and to control their nervousness. Travellers are late maturing fowls and high strung too. If an asil will be good, they might not be for sale. TRy a hatch as there are many available breeders and you already have a hatch cross.

Maybe you can also try a Mitra56 to a black. Bobby Boles asils were better when crossed to good blacks. I have seen it done and they can win. Awesome power with speed. Corrects the fault of the suicidal blacks, and correct the sluggishness of the Orientals. They can rock n roll...........

i got a trio of black travellers in ilocos sur i crossed mine w/ blueface shufflers , and grey came out w/ some pretty good stags this year. and the greys came out idaws all high staition
