Yes, for us to be able to provide updates of the derby, we need volunteers to post the results. Derby starts at 4pm. Matching is currently going on and we should have the schedules in an hour or two. Volunteers may text 0917-837-8832 and we will try to provide updates as often as we can. Latest info is we already have 56 entries and in all probability, the derby will last till maybe early morning tomorrow.

UBBA was not to be denied, held their own...although quite unlucky in some of their fights...

Pinolim with his Greysland entry, this entry for me was the heartbreak entry. Showing his magnificent looking white legged greys. His first 2 fights were heartbreaking draws but putting in a strong finish with 2 wins for a 2D-2W record.

To my friend Parehas/RCERadoy/007, what can I say. His chickens were as game as his pocket was. Joke lang pre...bawi na lang next time...tingin ko lamang ka naman sa ibang bagay....:teeth:....If its any consolation, he went up with the big boys and even had a fight with EDL Excellence showing a bulik (Dom)...

Blitzgame entry from our very own William (Blitzgame) who dazzled everyone with the big money fights even up to 6:00am in the morning challenging all comers who dare answer the challenge.

RHC (formerly known as RC Amoyong) who had 2 entries one of which performed very well.

Familiar names such as Binangonan (Gov Ynares), Dalubhasa (Ronald Salgado), EDL Excellence (Doc Ayong Lorenzo) lent glamour and pizzaz.

And to the other entries, this was as good if not better than we expected...

The local San Mateo crowd were treated to a spectacular event. Name it and this derby had it: big money fights, quality fowls, superb cutting, non-stop shuffling, drag fights, high breaking killing machines.

To all the entries remember there is a free un-edited VCD copy for each one to remember Jan 28, 2004...

Waking up at 4, going to the pit before 6, and staying till 8 am the next day. Squaring off the 100 fights and attending to everything from requests for gate passes, cockhouses taken over, requests left and right, calls from the town officials, refusing check payments.... whew. 55 Entries is no joke. Numerous center Bets of 6 figures are hard to square off. Sandwich dinner at 11 pm inside the ruweda is not fun.

This is my second and more controversial tour of duty for hosting the Global Derby. After the figures are in, I think we will have exceeded last years income of 160T. But its never easy and I thank all the entries, all the employees, the CFS, with or w/o entries, that came and helped. And also my appreciative and supportivehome crowd who agreed not just to participate but to pay the steep entrance fees when they had been so used to being free. To the sentensyadors who do the best they can but is never quite enough for everyone. To the municipal/provincial authorities who gave us discounts and waivers of their usual fees. For the many friends i've just met now. You and the kids at HDSJ give us the will and strength to get through this thankless job.

It has been a couple of days since the CF Global Derby 2004, I have been waiting with great anticipation for Mr. Chilism to post his summary observation during the event.
I guess we are all pampered as before (from last year Global Derby) about Chilism detailed post. Please post naman kung sino sino ang mga outstanding entries. It does not necessary follow that if the roosters performed well that it will be one of the eventual champions of this meet. As what we always say lady luck should also be at your side of the rueda.

Nakaka- 4 hits na kami ni BG nung sultada ng bulik ni 007. BG had the inside info na yung unang panalo nun eh walang sugat at winning line so todo pusta na kami. Di nakakahinayang kasi nagpakita talaga ng cutting ability yung manok. One of the heartbreak loss that night.

I'm back here in Africa after a 4-week sabong vacation. Some of the hightlights during my vacation were this CF GD2004 and, of course, for having a new baby last 1/26. I arrived in PI on the 25th of January and my wife delivered our cute baby girl on the 26th.

The BVHAL331 entry staffs left at 5am from Laguna to San Mateo. Actually, I have no plan to show up then as my wife was still in the hospital recuperating from the cesarian operation. But after few words to my wife, she willingly allowed me to go at around 5pm that derby day. I arrived in San Mateo at around 9pm with our 1st fight already won. Our remaining 3 fights lost but no regrets as I finally met my fellow CFs like Malalim, ChiliSM, TBS, and others. Never had the chance to chat as everybody were already busy. Kami yata ang unang umalis ng SM dahil kami ang unang talunan - hehehe.

Since the thread related to the incident that happened during the Global Derby is already closed, I thought I should post this here.

I just want everybody to know that Astro has sent his payment of 5000 pesos as penalty due from him as a result of bad weight and the money is now in CF's coffers as of March 28. I understand from Rebel that TeddySarad opted to donate the amount to CF's Humanitarian Funds.
