From what i've read too much is bad for our chicken. It has something to do with overdosing Iron. Supposedly, chicken can't process Iron that well.

I believe Doc TJT posted on this matter. from what i remember he said 2 drops on food(or water) once a week.

My experiences: I used 1 cap full(takip ng red cell bottle) on two chickens. 1 started shaking his head and started poo'ing dark feces. Most likey overdose. The other one, on the other hand, had more positive results. Normal feces, alert, increased apetite and had a very distinctive red face.

I guess it depends on the chicken. The more healthy they are, the less you need. The ones lacking in vitamins, you give more. :D

Red Cell is basically iron, B12 and a trace of micro elements like copper. iron in higher than normal dose is toxic to bird family.

Red Cell is VERY good for laying chickens and for growing birds. 1/2 teaspoon to a gallon of water - one week on one week off. Also it is god in the prekeep. I have found that if you give it to your roosters in the keep it will slow them down, they look healthy and bright but they get slower. I don´t know why this happens but it does.
