Southern Cross Fowl

Has anyone seen the fowl from Southern Cross farm in the U.S. that advertises on the Pitmaster compete ? I was wondering how they fared in the longknife ? I am particularly interested in the Miura Hatch and possibly the Kelso and Albany . Any replies will be appreciated . Thanks , Blade

Hello this is Philip, I am the agent in hawaii for southern cross farms. Out here southern cross fowl have been fought in the LK successfully against some of the toughest competition. This year the albanys are having an 80% win record and last year the greys did about the same when the season was over. We have also had great success with his butchers and the kelso crosses. The hatches in my opinion work out really well when crossed with the kelso and had a couple of these win recently. These win/loss % are real guys and can be proven. Don also fights his fowl at the rooster palace and a few other pits in virginia and kentucky. They just went 3-1 a couple of weeks ago in the long gaff.

I think Sabong Starcross farm of Peter Uren, based in San Pablo City, Laguna ( before its in Pampanga) carry a lot of Southern Cross fowls and Peter does fight in some of the big pits here, and has won some and loss some. Peter had also won championships here in Roligon, and some other big pits, and I think he also joined some of the stag circuit... just not sure what lines he used, but i think you can check it out with Peter Uren direct...

I fought Mick Blansett's Hatch/Kelso in LK at Springbrook Club and did pretty good. Mick is good person to deal with but currently I don't know if he still around doing the business.
Donna Blansett "Glory Revelator" just recently posted in pitmaster selling some Sweater/Albany.
Southern Cross also fights at Fonzo and Mid America.

Dont know much about his mcrea...but this one won 8 sec in longknife somewhere...they are very athletic looking birds and i believe they can compete anywhere in major derbies...

I will second what Kogs and Jade Farm said. I am proud to say that I am fully satisfied with SC fowls, they are simply the best. I bought a trio of possum sweater from them in 2003 thru the net. I bought it with confidence and back up by the pitmaster whom I believe has a high regard of the SC fowls at the time. These are the fowls advertised in pitmaster mini mart by "glory revelator", wife of mick. I was a beginner at that time and don't know much about fowls bloodline. Mick answered all of my questions and he told me that the possum sweater as what most people call, is very most sought after the islands. I'm very impressed with what I received from them. It's a pure possum sweater out of Jumper mating and mick also sent a sweater hen of the same line as a gift.
Below is a link to the video fight of the stag I got from southern cross. This is his second fight in a 4-cock derby last April 2006 against a known opponent in our place. He finished the opponent in 24 secs. with superficial wound only. His first fight was also in a 3 cock derby of the same year and was a quick kill, no scratch. He's a killing machine, awesome fighter. We made several dealings thereafter and I couldn't be happier. Mick is an honest guy to do business with and you can not go wrong with southern cross fowl.

Yes, very well said my friend. It is true that Mick does not have fowls on his farm in VA. One of my friend from Ohio went up there and to collect his long overdue 4 trios and was feed-up already of his alibis on the phone and was surprised that he did not see much chicken at his farm contrary to what he beleived that Mick is a big time breeder as what you will see to US breeders when you come and visit their farms. And yes the main reason, he does not shipped your order as soon because he is filling your order by buying fowls outside but not his breeds. even some of my fowls Mick sent I found out that this was belong to one of my newly found friend on the net I even showed him the fowls and he said he still remember that he gave this fowl to Mick in-exchange for another breed 6 months ago. Ask Mick where he fights his fowls and I can assure you that he will not answer your question because he had never fights and tested them on the pit.

i read this complained not only in this thread in sabong but in other thread in friendsinsports with the same .... i think is not putting him down without any reason to complained. i'm also a victim of a crook breeder and i admired this people who exposed this breeder to be carefull dealing with him and this is only a precautions to the buyers....i think if the customers received their order the complain is different is a junk chickens .... those who got their chicken will depend him of course but how about those victimize can't complain no more? because is bad mouthing? we should be thankful to those telling the truth and balance the situation.

Old thread but it is still accurate. I ordered 2 trios in Aug 2010. After waiting for 3 months and hearing every excuse why they were not shipped I asked for a refund. Until today I have only received 500 of the 2140 i sent him. If anyone wants proof send me your email and I will send 9 email traffic from day one and also the western union receipt. When contactinf his partners for any assistance I was told I sentthe money to Mick so its not their problem. Not a very good way to do buisness. Leason learned should have done more research but I dont want these threads to disappear so he will have more victims.

Yes thats why I have tried to make it clear. I have no dealing with Terry or Santiago as far as purchasing birds. My issue and my problems are with Mick Blansett only. I called Terry to ask for any assistance in getting a number where I could reach Mick (he doesnt answer the ones on the website) and Terry was more than a nice man and very helpful considering this has nothing to do with him or his farm at all. Santiago on the other hand told me I sent the money to Mick and not him so it wasnt his problem oh well thats pretty much what I expected. Anyway again I dont want anyone to miss understand my problems are with Mick Blansett only.

When I was still living in the US it was not a problem as I personaly went to the farms to select and buy. Now that I have moved to the PI and made my pemenant home here it would cost me twice as much to fly there and deal with it than I woul be collecting plus any other unforeseen cost. I buy all my stock (minus what I shipped with me when I came) from local breeders. I knew better than to do this before I did it. Chaulk it up to temporary dumba$$ syndrom. Shame on me for thinking people still had honor and stood behind their word. Anyway thats why I try to keep at least one of the threads regarding Mick and his farm current. I hate as much as the next person to see old threads to continue to spring back to life but if it is still accurate and I can one person from getting the shaft like I did then it has served its purpose.
