cocker,
Ibig mong sabihin na namana lang ng mga ARROYO sa mga Estrada ang money-making scheme ng PCSO for the Malacanyang tenants na minana rin ng mga Estarda kay FVR. Maitanong nga kay Sen Jinggoy ito.

Bakit hindi man lang kumikilos ang World Bank sa day to day exchange rate ng Peso to Dollar if they really knew the real RATE against as posted daily in prints and media.

It is the world currency traders that are dictating the currency price of a certain country. It can go up or down depending on the sentiment of the market. Would it be better for the locals that the Philippine currency is getting stronger? Bad for OFW I believe but I don't think the government can intervene in price for the long term.

I do believe that there is corruption going on in the PI but not that drastic as explained by cocker. There are also laws to be followed. That is why media in the PI needs to be educated in professional ethics. They shouldn't be fabricating stories and posting it in the internet or newspaper for all the people to read. Those people who like anarchy will blow some issues out of proportion by telling lies for their own personal motives.
For the sake of those people who really dislikes the administration. They are hiring government employees as stimulous packge for the economy. The employment will last only for one year maybe after the election will be over. Who do you think that those persons hired by the government vote? Naturally, they will vote for the administration candidates out of delicadesa and gratitude. They will campaign also for their family. Whose money did they use in this procedure? The government money naturally. Now you can argue with this style of corruption. If you are a die hard opposition, will you accept a job offer?

Tsao’s column drew criticisms from Filipinos both working in Hong Kong and abroad, as well as migrants’ groups and Philippine lawmakers. Filipinos wanted Tsao and the publishers and editors of the magazine to issue a formal apology for demeaning Filipino domestic helpers.

In his column, Tsao wrote: “Manila has just claimed sovereignty over the scattered rocks in the South China Sea called the Spratly Islands, complete with a blatant threat from its congress to send gunboats to the South China Sea to defend the islands from China if necessary. This is beyond reproach. The reason: there are more than 130,000 Filipina maids working as $3,580-a-month cheap labor in Hong Kong. As a nation of servants, you don’t flex your muscles at your master, from whom you earn most of your bread and butter.”

He said that as “a patriotic Chinese man, the news has made my blood boil. I summoned Louisa, my domestic assistant who holds a degree in international politics from the University of Manila, hung a map on the wall, and gave her a harsh lecture. I sternly warned her that if she wants her wages increased next year, she had better tell every one of her compatriots in Statue Square on Sunday that the entirety of the Spratly Islands belongs to China”.

Tsao even threatened to end “Luisa’s” employment and send her back home if war breaks out between the Philippines and China, stating that “I would not risk the crime of treason for sponsoring an enemy of the state by paying her to wash my toilet and clean my windows 16 hours a day. With that money, she would pay taxes to her government, and they would fund a navy to invade our motherland and deeply hurt my feelings.”

Mr. Tsao just showed his level of learning.Plain ignorance on his part on how the world works.
