Are those the ones with super big images?

The images that some link to are too big. That's what causes the horizontal bar to appear.

There is word wrap, but no image wrap :)

I got a 15" screen.

I have my settings at 1024x768 pixels.

The site was made that way.

Try those settings and at 32bit color.
