I wrote my petition and got a bit emotional about this.
For me it's Just the begining, here in California we are begining to send petitions to Sacramento requesting to consider legalization of "Cockpits and game Fowl Fifgting" as a solution to the reduction of the Prison population in the Correctional system.

My unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Rights guaranteed by the declaration of independance.
Our Goverment has the responsibility to secure these rights.
Our Forefathers and Founders of this great Nation could not have been wrong when they declared that all man are created equal and our diversity is what makes this Country the best place on earth.
George Washington and Abraham Lincoln raised and fought Game Fowl and prided themselves as good Cockers. Also "Honest Abe" was a nickname Given to Abraham Lincoln for being the best and fairest "Cockpit" referee.
Please I do not only opose this bill but I ask to legalize it and protect this Bloodsport. Game Fowl are species who were born to fight to the death and there are Historic accounts that substanciate these claim.
I don't agree with other people who humanize animals & I will respect them, I want to be respected and our goverment has to protect me and the activities I enjoy. Tax, police and regulate Cockpits, we all would live happier and in harmony.
My 3 sons are serving in the Military and will die to defend this right.

What will animals ever contribute to society without being used as food, in circus, zoo, or cockfighting? I agree with all of these comments. in my opinion we need to find some one like Ted Nugent or person that is or could establish a very likable kinship with more fellow Americans. To fight this is going to take time and money. To lobby you need to go to the Capital and spend time there. Take them for lunch. and more than just one time. You would have to be there all the time. I do not have the resources to do that. It would cost about $150.00 every time. Twice a week? That's some people weekly paycheck. And then we are spread out in many different states. Each species has it's own method of harvest. Gamecocks (livestock) have been harvested by allowing them to fight for more than 3,000 years. Around the world today gamecocks (livestock) are being harvested and this gamecock industry generates billions of dollars to the economy.
The Animal Welfare Act is unconstitutional and being used by the left wing socialists supporters of the **** to attack and destroy America's animal agriculture industries.
Where in our constitution does our government officials find they have the authority to grant/award rights to our livestock and then send government agents (Law Enforcement Officers) out to make raids and create situations where they may kill American citizens to defend our livestock?

That is exactly what HR 2492 does and that is the target of 2492. Of course the **** will claim it was "unintentional and unforeseen consquences" just as they did the horse slaughter law, but organized animal fighting = all hunting with dogs. Raccoon, Bear, Wild hog, rabbit and even duck, goose, Pheasent, Quail, etc, etc.... the animals/birds try to get away and the dogs try to catch them that always ends up in an animal fight.

We have to include everyone. We cant leave this fight to just the Gamefowl Community we have to get with the Farmers, FFA, Cattlemen Association, Hunters, Fishermen, Dog breeders, Feed Stores, Agriculture, Schools, Truck Drivers, Businesses that sponsor them and the public in general. Sit outside the feed store for a extra 10 min and talk to the customers. I know when I contacted these people they were all ready to jump on the band wagon and help us. I explained that its going to take all of us to do this together and if we don't work together we are going to loose this battle. If we have to be the ones to lead then so be it. It's not that hard to print out some info on the H*U* and hand out. Just keep a stack in your vehicle and hand it out when ever you are out. Ask the stores you visit if you can put them up. Most places have a bulletin board you can put things on. We have to be consistent at what we are doing or we're not going to get anywhere. Hell I will talk to anyone, anywhere, at anytime, if they don't want help that's their opinion and move on to someone else. I'm telling you people are tired of this sh!t and are wanting to stand up!

I opposed the bill! Below are my comments!

I oppose H.R. 2492: Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act of 2011 because...the federal government is overstepping it's authority by outlawing the harvest of a citizen's personal property (game cock). The government may not agree with the method of harvest, but the constitution gives the citizen that right! It's time to overturn these uncontitutional laws! What right do you and the H$U$ have to tell anyone what to do with their personal property. Stop violating peoples property rights!!
