hotel and resort. we missed the other officers and mem-
bers but in all we had a good attendance.

kudos to our amerikano friend shane and wife rina, they
were the 1st to arrive. very typical of the amerikano
time. yours truly arrived a few minutes after then the
other members old and new started to arrive. found a
nice place to do our meeting by the poolside, with a
good view of the hotel and the ormoc bay.

okidoki. when we thought everyone is around, we ordered
a feast for our dinner. they said that full stomach produces
great minds....now whoever said that...thanks man, hehe.
san mig lights for the gentlemen and juice for the ladies
as "abre gana". after our dinner, the meeting started,
with el presi, presiding over the meeting, yours truly,
taking the minutes.

1. el presi, bai ed, started the evening with our desire to
have the EVGBA, INC. affiliated with the NFGB, INC.

- it was agreed that we make a formal list of all
EVGBA officers, and members togerther with their
corresponding addresses and contact nos.

- our pres. bai ed, will write a letter of intent to NFGB,
INC., Mr. Ricoy Palmares, Jr. in behalf of EVGBA, INC.
to consider our desire to have our asso. affiliated
with the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders
Inc.

- after reading aloud the list of members (most of
which have submitted their membership forms and
1-time membership payment), it was agreed that
deadline for other members (no forms and payment
submitted) would be at the end of this month.

- yours truly is happy to announce also that a group
of serious breeders from no. samar headed by
arturo "boy" benitez and dr. eduardo baena of the
northern samar gamefowl breeders asso., submitted
their application for membership. the group started
holding stag derbies last year. and they just finished
their stag derby this month. they would be very
happy to join and support us also in all our goals,
and visions.

- it was also agreed that a screening of all members
would be done to ensure that EVGBA, INC. accept
and maintain QUALITY MEMBERS ONLY.


2. RESULTS OF THE 4-STAG DERBY last Sept. 1 & 2,2006

- our pres. bai ed, congratulated the evgba, officers,
members, derby comm, friends, and loyal supporters
for the succesful 4-stag derby held at the Nadongho-
land cockpit. the event had its share of troubles,
and problems, but likewise built character and
deeper friendship amongst us. and most importantly,
we got our (evgba) POCKETS full this time. :)
as the song goes...." this time we made it "

- a very loud applause was given the evgba.


3. re uncollected entry fees.

- hehe, think you're gonna get away with it, haha.
our bright boys will take care of this.....many ways
to collect it.....


4. EVGBA, INC. WEBSITE

- most of the members agreed to the idea, although
we wish to know also some more details regarding
this like....fees......maintenance.....server........
bandwith.......etc, etc.

- per initial talks of our el presi with mr. rodney
gellera aka greendestiny.....all these would start
for free....hope greendestiny can show us more
details and some samples of how this website
would work out.

- thanks greendestiny for your efforts and hope to have
you also in our members' list.


5. EVGBA, INC. OFFICE

- it was agreed that if funds would already be available
and the evgba is financially able, a need to find an
official office with mailing address and contact no.
is very necessary.

- the need to hire a secretary male/female to handle
communications, invitations, member files, would
again be necessay even on a casual basis as our
group starts to grow and more activities being lined
up by the month.

- the need to form an official evgba derby committee
was greeted with approval. i have personally seen
and personally joined the derby committee and i tell
you this is no joke. it entails a real lot of sacrifice,
and i would want to leave this to the professionals.
i could offer to assist once in a while though, ahehe.

- i am very happy to announce that mr. ramon conopio,
accepted the position of treasurer of the evgba.
he is a man of integrity, very nice to deal with, and
honest in his dealings. good for me, one burden
out of my shoulders.

- i am also happy to announce that mr. bebot flores,
loans officer of RURAL BANK OF ORMOC CITY, our
official matchmaker, and likewise our monton cashier
at our last 4 stag derby accepted the position of
temporary secretary. hehe, another burden taken
off my and bai ryan's (who is now our bacolod liason)
shoulder.

- dont worry guys, am still here to assist you once in
a while. if i remember right, during our very first
meeting in baybay, leyte all our positions are on an
interim basis. we are all volunteers (hehe, now who
was that wise guy who raised my right hand) until
a formal all-members' meeting, voting, and election
of officers would be held.



OTHER IMPORTANT MATTERS :

1. while we're still hot, mr. ramon conopio, suggested
that we hold a 3- stag/cock combine this nov.4,2006
at the nadongholan cockpit.

now, bai ramon has in his hands years and years of
doing derby promotions. we thought that its kind of
short of preparations but we were all in awe as to
how he argued his way (must be the san mig light)
specially to doc joey cortes who incidentally was
also convinced by bai ramon to do the stag screening.
as what bai ramon and bai shane said, just do your
thing to the best of your abilities. if you feel that in
your judgment that this stag failed in your set of
criterias then...REJECT IT...even if its the stag of our
el presi, bai ed, ahehe.

i thought its about time also for evgba, inc. to do our
own screening. as they say, you cant please everybody,
somebody, somewhere, theres going to be criticisms
from we know who, hehe, but in the end, if they see
that we are fair, we are consistent, and we are firm
in our decisions.....theyll see that we mean business.

okidoki..... its nov. 4 then guys. for those who have
not tested their stags yet.... i thought this is your
last chance. for those who have caks ready and rarin
to go, lets support this derby also. we started the
stag season....evgba will also start the cak season.

entry fee is P3,500.00 guaranteed prize is P150K



2. bai shane proposed a 3-leg stag derby for members
only next season. entry fees would be very affordable,
and maximum bets would strictly be enforced. we could
open the stag season on sept and end it in nov. also,
a possible bullstag for members only to conclude our
circuit derby.
i thought this is one bright suggested to look into and
start to do some mechanics of the circuit. have some
trophies ready and maybe a nice prize money at the
end of the circuit who garners the most no. of wins for
a single entry.
maybe bai shanebo can help us on the mechanics of
this and also the derby comm.
lesser headaches for us since this will be for members
only circuit derby.


3. our guest mr. roger " secret weapon" yu , also handed
out some reading materials. he is inviting the members
for a seminar on this secret weapon for our feathered
warriors. testimony of this is the championship for his
financed entry r&j last 4 stag derby at valencia sports
center. hmmmmm....as my kapampangan friend said,
" lawen tamu para mabalu " kita-on daw nato


4. the most welcome proposal as presented by bai
bimbo "goldcock" codilla. a family xmas party for
evgba, inc.

its gonna be a dinner party for members' origs only,
and their kids. bai gino pa.... my giant kids, hehe.

for a P500.00 fee you and your family would be treated
to dinner, parlor games, and very nice door prizes.

bai ed is donating a lechon and so is bai teddy sanchez.
yours truly would also donate a lechon (manokis).
a streamer would also be prepared for this occassion.

compsci eng. students. It was recommended to be activated here

credit card for two years deal. If I remember correctly it was $5 a

GUYS!!!! - we have to maintain the decency of our thread and agree with bai Cholo's comments, we welcome daring pics na pampagising sa mga inaantok pero ilimit natin sa several fraction of an inch above the breast level of the pic for those na medyo alam nating nakakagising talaga. ALMERIA DERBY RESULTS - only two entries from EVGBA:
1. SLERADE GOLDCOCK EVGBA of bai Goldcock using the fowls of yours truly
2. EVGBA Caibiran Gallera of bai Ben C

Sad to say that inspite of the very high chance of getting the championship prize of 75,000 Php with only 12 entries to compete, still were not so lucky enough to make it. Bai Goldcock's entry 1st fight was against a certain Atty. Rabur??using Sonny Lagon's bloodline kay sabi pa sa mga taohan noong nanalo na, Araneta winner KUNO hex3 duda ako bakit naging ARANETA winner yun eh, parang stag sa tingin ko?. Anyway, the 1st fight had several chances of winning pero medyo, OFF ang manok natin dahil siguro sa 3 hours na land travel and no enough time to rest? The 2nd Fight was against the promoter's entry Engr. Toniacao the plant manager of the National Power Corp., Tungonan, Ormoc City, that was his birthday celebration derby by the way. This time, bai Goldcock's entry won very easily by the look at it pero patay rin pala ang manok paglabas. The 3rd Fight was again another fight against the promoter, this was the best fight of the entry and I also salute all the sabongeros in Almeria, our plasada was big enough for a 3-cock derby of that locality, pero we got all even bet in the center, although 2-3 na sa labas llamado tayo. 53,000Php+ WOW, enough for the long drive, hex3 but malas lang, bai Goldcock's 3rd fight was a yellow-legged hatch that easily won on his 1st Win against bai Rhinoman, during his last derby, ito iyong umiikot sa itaas kung hindi mahulihuli ang kalaban sa simple break. Dalawang beses palaging nasa itaas pero before setting on the ground during his 2nd fly, ang ganda ng pagkakaabang ng kalaban at isang cutting lang nadali tayo hux3. Sayang ang pambawi sa long travel anyway, SUPER ang derby as far as pustahan is concerned, you bet how much you want, you will get all even bet, very rare in Leyte.
Bai Ben's 1st fight was an easy win unscratched but the 2nd and 3rd fight were easy losses also. The 3rd fight was against Mayor Mercado of Maasin City entry using bai Winnie Codilla's fowl and this was not that easy loss by the way, kay patay rin ang kalaban.
