"laging handa", never put up a show that relies on the high heavens in order to win.
your class c and class d roosters ....reserved them for the kitchen. very very tough to
win even with class A & B roosters, much more with the "c" and "d" birds with the level
of competetion now.

in your coming shows, be it a tupada, a 2ck derby , moreso with the 4 or 5 or 6 ck derbies,
be sure to always bring those that PLY BERI HAI and KIK BERI KWIK feathered warriors.

Here's how the scam works:

I met bai Bernie and saw sangkay Extremes with brod Mick2 on the far front. I had a short talk with bai Chiboy Pongos and he is very very serious of supporting our 4-ck derby.

RE: 4-ck derby on April 13 - 14, April 13 will be 2-ck elemination day, the entry fee is 4,400 Php. April 14 will be the Championship day, any RE-entry will pay 4,400 Php for his straight 4 fights but a NEW entry of straight 4 fights, will pay additonal 1,000 Php on top of the entry fee. So, a new entry going to fight for straight 4 will pay 5,400 Php.

February 14 = VALENTINE's DAY = MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!!!!

1. February 17, 2007 = 3 - ck Derby in Merida, Leyte. EVGBA will be represented by my personal entry with an entry name, EVGBA NA.

2. February 19, 2007 = 3- ck Elimination in Talisay Complex, Talisay City 6 - ck 3M Derby. The KURAMBOS fund will finance haydol IZLO's fowls. The expenses will be as previously posted by bai Cholo during our participation on the 1M derby on the same venue, the only difference is the additional 1,000 Php conditioning expenses since this is a 6-ck derby. The bet scheme will be: 11,000 for the 1st Fight if Win, the bet for the 2nd fight will be 22,000 Php + the winning of the 1st fight and this will carry over on the 3rd Fight. Any loss, will come back to the original 11,000 Php bet. If the breaks will be on us and we can qualify for the FINAL ROUND that will mean, 3 WINS!!!!, the total winning plus the 33,000 Php capital will be divided into 3 and this will be our bet for the 3 fights on the final round. Sana mayroon ding interview for all EVGBAns nyahaaah, anyway kon mayroon sana tayo:
1. How did you celebrate your Valentine's Day? = For Me, together with my orig humot and kids, we came back to the b. house around 12MN and if not for the children going to school, maybe later pa. This was how we spent, in short pants and sleepers around 10PM, we drove around the city with all windows open, kung may marinig kaming LIVE BAND hihinto sandali and gauge the type of music they were playing, we bought 3 orders of Da Vinci's Pizza and soft drinks, driving, eating, drinking(softdrinks), we made 4 stops on live bands and finally alighted in the HARRIZON PLAZA along Jones Avenue, kasi that's the only type of music I liked(pinagbigyan nila ako sa aking taste ROCK) sa 4. We stayed until the band playing stopped a little over 11PM. So we came back to the other 3 bands stopping for a while and listening(Of course along the way, there was this very loud disco sa lahat in the open arena along Escario Street), the one in the between the Baseline and Sideline was not bad but not as good to my hearing, then we passed again the one along Escario and being a lone girl singer mostly on pop and folk songs not so inviting to stay any longer so we went to the last stop, beside Ratsky in Ayala Business Center this time not bad 2 male singers, a rhythm/lead and bass guitar. So, that's how I spent my Valentine's Day.

2. Who is your fantasy date = Fantasy lang naman, other than my wife, Jennifer Aniston. Bai Cholo ibibigay ko na sa iyo si Demi Moore hex3.

(mar.03). as agreed in our meeting and for practical purposes all members in samar
area, all of your cockerels will be banded in one place (atty. espinar) of pambojan,
no. samar.


bai extremes, d sked of banding in your area (carigara, tacloban, tanuan, etc.) will
be on the 3rd week of march. the definite sked will be posted later after the banding
comm (doc j. bai mark, bai bernie, bai izlo) have conferred among themselves.
please get in touch also with bai patrick. banding will be done in one place for
practical purposes. pls get in touch and confer also with our members in your area.
reminder lang bai, only members can have their cockerels banded. d 1st 20 cockerels
of each member is free. there will be a P10. charge after the 20 cockerels. non-
members who wished to have their cockerels banded will have to be sponsored by
a member. pls advise members also that there is a P2,200.00 deposit during the
banding of cockerels to insure that members who had their cockerels banded will
join our 4-stag derby. the P2,200 deposit will be deducted from the entry fee of

The normal kurambos strategy is hindi na papasok sa finals kung hindi for champion ang mga laban iconfirm ko sana kagabi with bai Luis but unfortunately, hindi ko na nakita pagkatapos ng laban palagay ko iba ang nakalagyang cockhouse at hindi na sa dati dahil pagpunta ko duon, wala daw? Wala ring sumagot sa # niya although it was ringing. Kaya most probably we will not go for insurance fights, marami namang derby pa in this case, masave pa nokis natin.

Mayroon tayong appointed coordinator sa area ninyo ang contact number niya ay nasa banding committe natin and we are soliciting a constant communication lalo na ngayon na member na tayo sa national association at lahat na gustong magpaband ay iinform natin through him.Sana there will be a constant contact among all the members in the area during the wingbanding both the EVGBA and the National banding committee.

pointing and gaffing. ayaw na lang sa pag release kai prehas na mi ni haydol, masangit
ang onlan sa tiyan pag doko, bwehehe.

The Heritage Cup is supposedly an 8-Bullstag Derby. However, in our case, since we are just new, the officers has given us the go signal to go ahead with a 4-Cock eliminations to be held in Ormoc coinciding with our 4-Cock derby on April 13 and 14. The entries can be match with anyone since it is going to be REDFLAG but the points will be counted for those who are willing to join with a pot money of P11,000.00. Those who will garner at least 3 points will qualify for the championship round to be held in Manila on April 26. Only banded bullstag will be used during the final round and UGBA will accomodate the qualified entries by making available banded and conditioned bullstag for them to use during the championship round. They will just make the necessary arrangement with the owner of the bullstags. UGBA will send an observer during the derby to witness firsthand how we manage derby activities.

I am willing to join this derby since this will be the opening salvo of UGBA provided that, we can have at least 10 entries as per request of UGBA. Aside from the P11,000.00 entry fee for the Heritage Cup, I will also pay the P4,400.00 entry fee for our Anniversary Derby.

I think he is the same guy that you are referring to, I always see him during big time derbies in Valencia. Anyway, let's go to your inquiry: How to get your stags banded? = Please be a member 1st by filling up the application form and pay the lifetime membership fee of 500 pesos. There are 3 leagues for our circuit stag derbies the 1st is a 3-stag the main is a 4-stag and the last a clean-up, is a 3-stag. A member who is having his stags banded will pay the 50% of the entry fee for our MAIN stag, 50% of 4,400 pesos is 2,200 during the banding day, this will be deducted from his entry fee to the main stag derby or if he so join the 1st stag, whatever is the entry fee less the 2,200 is the balance to join the 1st stag derby of the circuit. Again if he will join the MAIN and also joined the 1st, then he will pay the full entry fee for the main as his deposit is already consumed on the 1st stag derby. In other words, the 2,200 is deductible to the entry fee. I will email to you the form and the EVGBA account #. I will check the schedule for banding in .......... Area, generally from March 1 to April 15 but it is scheduled by cluster otherwise if not covered during the scheduled banding period, you must bring your stags to Ormoc City for banding which is quite uncomfortable for you or your people. The 1st 20 cockerels are free and 10 pesos per cockerel to be banded in excess of 20.

As to #1 - It must be confirmed by early next week so EVGBA will be included in all advertisements (print and TV), invitations and announcements.

As to #2 - If we can come up with at least 10 entries, an UGBA observer will come before the derby date to witness and observe how we organize and manage local derbies.

As to #3 - It will be the option of whoever will come out champion. Let's say if an entry garnered 3 pts., its his wish to continue on to the finals in Manila. If an entry garnered 4 pts., then he should continue on for the championship. The bullstag that we will use during the finals will come from Purple Haze Farm as a gesture of friendship and assistance to our association and members. If in case nobody gets the 3 pts needed for an entry to join the finals, it will not jeopardize all our intentions.

Another point to consider is that the P11,000 entry fee for the Heritage Cup should be paid before the derby starts because we have to submit the list of entries joining the 8-Bullstag Derby. The P4,400 entry fee for our local derby is another thing as this will become what we call "day money".

This is what I understand from the foregoing statements: 1. Early next week, there must be 10 entries from the EVGBA group willing to participate in heritage cup. This will include non-members but also have the same intention. This will also tell us that an observer will be coming from UGBA.
2. During our 4-cock derby an entry owner who likes to join the Heritage Cup will pay, 4,400 entry fee for our 4-cock derby and 11,000 entry fee for the Heritage Cup.

mr. fred katigbak of nfgb sec for the annual gen. membership mtg. held at the office
of mr. victor sierra at swu.
HIGHLIGHTS (feb.24,2006 sat.)
met mr. arnel anonuevo of nfgb at the rajah park hotel in fuente osmena where izlo and
i were billeted. mga 530 pm kita sab mi ni manny berbano and vice mayor homer
salgado at the lobby. had some chit chat and later met also mr. ricoy palmares, mr.
al garcia, mayor juancho aguirre, lance dela torre, and what a small world, i also met my classmate at jobo cocking school, mr. moises almonte of vizcaya gba. later on, nag abot2X na ang oban pang mga local asso. presis. after dinner, bisita mi izlo sa talisay
sports. watched for an hour the derby then went back to the hotel to call it a day.
at the hotel, had a cup of coffe at the lobby when mayor jga, vice salgado, and the others
also arrived. chit chat na sab pero gikapoy naman mi mao nang nanghid mi na kita na
lang sab ta ugma at the mtg.

the meeting started with an invocation by dr. gil sandig (sgba) followed by the welcome
remarks by pres ricoy p. then the intro of reps from guest associations, BIGBA/UBGBA/
GBAP/ZABONG/VIGBA/GBAB/RGBA and our very own EVGBA.
reading the agenda for today, i thought, can we finish all the matters that has to be
discussed ??? anyways, here are some of the highlights that would be of most interest
to our group.
a. membership guidelines
1. probationary period - instead of the usual 2 yr prob period, 1 yr. na lang, depending
of course on how our asso. would actively participate in nfgb activities.
2. P10,000.00 membership fee to the nfgb
b. 2007 stag banding overview
1. our asso. is allocated 3,000 wingbands for this year's coming stag derby.
2. a proposed change in the derby format from 3-3-3 to 3-4-3 was considered.
3. semi final champion prizes per region was also proposed.
4. start of banding for our asso. (evgba) will start on the 3rd week of april.

*** for evgba, the 3 stag bakbakan elims can be held here in leyte provided we :
1. have a minimum of 20 entries
2. we abide with the centralized matching of the nfgb
3. a video coverage of the fights

*** as for the proposed 3-4-3 format, it was most welcomed by all local asso. and
most specially the semi-final champion prize per region.
1. those entries with 6, 6.50, or 7 wins now stand to get as much as P1M prize
per region (2 luzon, 1 visayas, 1 mindanao)

*** also discussed was how to help strenghten new asso. by way of support :
1. upgrading breeding stocks
2. getting sponsors for locally held asso. derbies
3. purchase of imptd. wingbands (P3/ea)
4. seminars
5. training of referees (cert. by nfgb)

excited na mga samar members. aside from bai koyem (kaliwat sa boy scout - laging
handa) i got calls and text msgs from our area coordinators boy benitez, atty espinar,
(all from pambojan) and doc baena (catarman). all systems go na ni clang tanan !!!

btw, doc baena is fighting at the elims of 10M rambulan somewhere in samar area.

as of this time 10:01 pm, i got a text msg from our chairman of the banding comm.
that the group has banded 300 stags already from the nearby areas of ormoc city.
i (in behalf of our pres.) am supposed to make the ceremonial banding of the 1st stag
this afternoon at 5pm but my time has not permitted me. maajo ra, wala man ang
digicam ni bai ed, hehe. bitaw, makadaot jud ning trabaho sa office sa atoang
assosasyon, bwehehe.

anyways, another good news ! mr. leo figueroa, reg. mgr., of tbird and two tbird
reps from leyte and samar visited me at my (our) office yesterday afternoon.
all systems go na ang MOA nato with sarimanok/thunderbird to support all our
activities starting this mar. up to end of dec. this year. this means that they will
be taking care of all our derby needs from invits, streamers, flyers, tshirts, caps,
chalekos, seminars, etc., and even a digital timer for our venue. mai hirit pa ko na
request na kon pwede they can provide YOUNG TRIOS from known breeders to be
given to our derby and seminar patrons. i told them na CLICK kaayo ni cya and a
very very good attraction for participants and derby patrons.

re TBIRD promos i sent mr. figueroa a text request that instead of a digital timer
for our venue (which we already have), we are requesting instead for a digital
weight scale for use on all our derby activities. i remember last stag derby nato
we used my mini digital weigh scale and that of bai izlo as our official weigh scale.
i thought napa reglahan ang akoa kai na missing in action man pagka homan sa
derby. maayo gani abtik ang akoang handler, gi safety na niya pagka homan sa
timbang sa mga stags.

okidoki. got very exciting and encouraging news from our banding committee.
inspite of us finishing the banding of bai jr. mendoza at past 10 in the evening,
last friday, sayo gihapon cla take-off sa ormoc saturday dawn. headed by DOC
JOEY, BAI MARK, BAI BERNIE, and some batos, they headed for pambojan,
no. samar. they were greeted by the pambojan community band together with
the marjorettes. a sumptous food of fresh pansat and alimango and grilled fish
mantener lang pagkaon. about 200 COCKERELS were banded there. and the
BEST THING daw na makakuha sa kakapoy didto is ang deposit na P2,200 is
ready na and some of them who will be participating also in the BAKBAKAN
paid their P5,000 deposit already. next stop is laoang, home of BAI KOYEM's
feathered warriors. enjoy kaayo cla kai sakay man cla ug pumpboat. mora sab
diay clang mga turista, hehe (agen, they miss the digicam of bai ed). maayo
kaayo ang reception nila sa laoang. very healthy ang mga cockerels, mga 40
heads ang banded.
next stop, CATARMAN. farm of dr. ed baena and mr. ely gonzales. perteng daghana
diay sa cockerels aning 2 ka mga breeders. from among them morag 200 cockerels
na daw. c doc joey has all praises for the cockerels of mr. gonzales. bb sweater -
gilmore crosses out of sonny lagon farm. incidentally, naka solod sa semis c dr. baena
sa 10M rambulan. CONGRATS DOC !

bai koyem offered their house in calbayog to the banding team to stay overnight but
unfortunately wala didto eya parents and nobody's home. 2moro dey will pass by
simi oregon, son of joe oregon to see if they are interested to fight their cockerels
in a legit stag derby. they will also brief them of our inroads at the nfgb and plans for
this year. i also gave them the contact no. of my friend in catbalogan, mr gerry munoz.
he heads the local asso. of breeders in that town. i hope they can also see the AGUILAR
bros. of gandara. these are the young guys (one is the breeder, one is the conditioner,
and one is the pit operator) who approached me the other year at the vsc stag derby
and signified their intentions to join our group. they really wanted to test and fight their
breds in a legit stag derby.

in all, our banding team are very very tired but very very encouraged by the good turn-
out. they have seen the credibility of our banding team, the seriousness of our group,
and the resolve to uplift our passion and the sport we so love. LET US GIVE OUR BANDING TEAM a big round of APPLAUSE.

anyways, THANK GOD, safe and sound, although very very tired ang atoang
banding team. still, i got updates from doc joey and bai mark. in all, their trip
was a resounding success. they arrived 630pm ormoc. were able to band around
500 stags more or less in the samar area (daghan pai possible makuha na members,
but for lack of time and earlier advisory sa mga breeders). daghan nindot na mga
stags sa samar area na nabandingan nila. these only proves na even in far flung
areas, good and quality breds can already be found. the excellent lines are no
longer a monopoly of a few wealthy and influential people.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION TO OUR ABAI BERNIE for sharing with us his precious time,
his new toyota 4x4 hi-lux, and his name in the samar area. little did i know that
bai bernie as quoted by doc joey "is like sharon c." in samar. daghan kaayo ni
cya ug mga fans didto, hehe. ako gi-ingnan c doc joey na kon naa c sharon, ikaw
c gabby, unya c mark...c kiko p. bwehehe. this is just to lighten up the weary
bodies of our energetic banding team. bai bernie also drove at least 8 hrs. non-

he believes that not samar area can field not less than 5 entries in the bakbakan
elims which we hope to hold in ormoc city (per nfgb advisory, should not be less than

is there an exception to the rule, e.i, partial payment of P4,400 pot money during banding of cockerels???.. i can't pay that amount during banding of my cockerels because of financial constraint , instead i could pay the whole amount during the derby.

Good Good Job! I will relay your need for membership forms. Re-2,200 Php deposit, this will be treated on a case-to-case basis. So don't worry if you are really tight now financially but remember it will be the same story since you will be paying in full during the derby. Sometimes paying 2,200 in one day, is better than paying 4,400, got the logic?. On the other hand, we spent 18K+? for the wingbands(I don't have the exact figure) so you know, it is just a matter of balancing the equation so to speak. At any rate, other associations are doing the same which we found it out also a good procedure. Suit yourself sangkay and Good Luck on your cockerels.

area. we will not fail them in their expectations. i did not see the banding sked
of man johnny and doc piranha ??? bai koyem also has cockerels in alang-alang
that has to be scheduled. anyways, baka meron pang madagdag dito as bai
bernie has contacts also in the burauen, abuyog, and mahaplang areas.
hope to have this skeds finalized after the isabel banding area this coming saturday.
bai extremes, re P2,200 deposit, no worry, as bai ed has said this is a case to case
basis. but, we really encourage our members to pay the amount so as to support
the expenses we are incurring not only for the wingbands (sizeable amount, huhu)
but also for the transpo, fuel, meals, and communications. ang labor ? labor of
love lang. all these expenses will be taken out of our funds.
incidentally, during the banding of bakbakan cockerels, only the transpo of the

1. WELCOME JO-EUGENE to our humble thread and the EVGBA. i included you in the
first list of good news coz i noticed from your post that your fiancee's name is
Roel. so, i conclude that you are a SHE, and its been a long time since we had a
she posting here in our barrio. c dai tina is already in working in bacolod and
very very seldom visits our thread already. it is welcome news for us to have
you here with us. all is fair in love and war sa atoang sport. and btw, you are
not alone in your passion for the sport. rina, the wife of shane, handles the
breeding, feeding and marking of chicks in their rooster farm in biliran. we also
have a new member in villaba, the tumamak couple boy and rena of rena's
farm. everyone here will envy this family. boy, rena and their son all share the
same passion, breeding gamefowls. they have a very nice, neat, very clean,
and well arranged facilities. its just an average sized farm but like i said, the
size does not count, but the manageability and the broodfowls they are using
are 2nd to none. atty jun mendoza's yellow leg hatch, biboy enriquez's bb sweat-
ers, liza galore karachi hatches to name a few. hope to post the pics i took from
their farm soon.

2. another good news, our very own bernie tacoy just wiped away all the cash in the
special quorum 2ck derby in calubian, leyte. home of our very own, dixie loygos.
out of the 4cocks he used, 3 won and the other rooster was a draw. so, it wouldnt
be too hard to do the mathematics boys, hehe. CONGRATS bai bernie and dont
forget the BLOW OUT.

3. another good news folks. we have banded more than 1,400 cockerels already as
of todate. and we are not even half-way yet. i had the time of my life travelling
from ormoc to isabel to palompon to villaba to tabango then back to matag-ob and
ormoc visiting members' farms and helping in the banding of cockerels.
naa pa lang mi sa palompon, request na ko ug palit biogesic. naglabad na ang
ako ulo. grabe ang init ron !!! when we got to villaba, we all remembered na
wala pa diay mi pani-udto, huhuhu.
anyways, here are some of the highlights during the banding. bwena mano sa
isabel ang farm ni ging2X gubalane. mai future ni na farm. aside from the big
area, daghan pa jud ug mga trees para landong sa mga nokis. mga winnie
codilla broodfowls eyahang gigamit. next stop, marlon lapinid. backyard ning
eyaha, "as in", pero we were accomodated by his wife sa banding. biliba sab
namo. pagkahoman adto mi sa hillside farm of el presi bai ed. mora sab diay
ni ang commercial sa tv sa ona, "i walk a mile for a camel" baktas tawn ming
tanan, with dante (handler of bai ed as guide). will post also pics of his farm,
coming soon. then to the backyard "as in again" of alex pinar. and lastly, sa
ela capt. florin. in all, nakadaginot mi ug mga cockerels dinhi. naa pai balikonon
dire na area coz ang oban mga owners (gerbi, sami galos, dodong pinar)wala man.
PALOMPON area. 1st stop, atoy dysam farm. WOWOWEE !!! dili ni hibintaan ning
farm ni atoy (pics coming soon, hehe). rolling hills, well arranged teepees. very
good bio security. nice facilities. very wide range area with plenty of has. for
expansion. nabandingan na sa cvba ang eyahang mga stags pero pa-banding
pod cya sa evgba. mga nene abello broodfowls gi mantinir dire na farm. homan,
adto mi sa kan dr. edwin jao. ay salamat, gipa meryenda mi. mora sab ug
zoo didto sa elaha, daghan mga mananap. fast forward ta gamay sa farm ni
bai goldcock. tago gamay, pero anindot sab. very manageable farm, very clean,
well arranged pod mga teepees. bai bobims, maayo gani wala mi kadala ug
karton, kit-an na sab ni bai mark ang emohang gold na nakadaog sa farm ni
bai bernie, bwehehe. toa pod mga nokis sa eyahang partner c bren bongbong.
okidoki, medyo gipa maolan na ang kamot ni bai izlo cge ug duot sa pliers, hehe.
adto mi sa farm ni boy tumamak of villaba. like what i mentioned earlier, ganahan
kaayo mi ani na farm. sa size, sa cleanliness, sa mga facilities, everything in order
jud. well manicured cording area and best of all, family run ang operation dinhi.

in their farm, diin gkan ang mga materyales, ug hasta date sa hatching and
markings. kon sa klase pa ni, valedictorian, hehe.

orientals (courtesy of alvin lim's brazilian and white claret)/ bai mark pa, pang

daghana na-breed ana ni tata oi (THANK YOU DAW to doc joey, elahang consul-
tant). matod pa tata, for the 1st time in their breeding career , hehe, karon pa
cla ka- raise ug ingon ato kadaghan and ka healthy na mga piso. KAMI NA LAI
SURRENDER sa banding. 100 cockerels, plus more pa unta ingon c comeo.
arrived ormoc city 10pm in the evening. kaon mi sa CHITO'S CHOW (ahehe,
sa gawas diay to sa mai bbq-han). abi nako natagbaw na ning ako mga kaoban
sa banding team. ese, ang banding na sab sa tacloban area ang gi-hisgotan !!!

JOIN EVGBA AND VISIT LEYTE AND SAMAR GAMEFARMS FOR FREE (free of
salary) mao ni ang awhag sa banding team.

IN ALL, THAT WAS A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE for the VP. kapoy pero rewarding.
