In my opinion this is our opportunity to shine if we really want to have an association. It is not easy to host a derby like this. Some big timers have some reservation in our plan beacause time like this people will not recommit. T H I S I S O U R chance ! ! ! Time to group up and be a team. They are just waiting for us to see if we are serious enough.

if we really want to succeed in forming our group,we need to cooperate,be honest,and help hand on hand to give our first ever pa derby,cause long time ago,first time i visited this site,i already stumble this topic forming a group and evgba was mentioned correct me if im wrong as if it was started by atty. ......then there was a schedule for kitakits-meeting,and in fact there was a derby in palompon and that was i think should have started,my brod was even there but i think those that commit to be around could not be found,only few to count, because i was not there to confirmed it.

now back to the conditions of the derby,even if its mention in the previous posting,i'll just have it posted here again.

with regards to the sharing 20 entries or more our share is 40 % AND 60 % goes to the management and co promoter.actually as what i've mention before,with or without us the derby in baybay will go ahead,when the members here mention the April 9 date,i just give my opinion that i think it's difficult to have the said derby on the same date in baybay for some reasons,

1.most of the owners of cockpit will be attending there,for they know already that it's automatic that,if its holiday there would be a derby in baybay,also the puntos,im not mentioning all ha,maybe it would be another issue na nagyabang ako just to convince each one of you,so who would support us.

2.with regards to the betting,honestly i don't have money,i just like to have a group to meet friends and etc...if anyone could stand for the group to be responsible for the bet difference,then theres no problem about it,we can held it anywhere else,and i'll have an entry and since the derby in baybay would go ahead,i'll also have an entry out of shame,even if i don't have enough money and fowls but i'll do my best to be true to my commitment.

3.we regards to the management side,for me they should be given the higher share,cause they are the one who does the invitations,etc.most especially the venue,we don't even spent even 1 cent,come to think about it,if we would go ahead with the derby on other venues,we would be renting around 30k more or less,do we have the funds to produce it?all we did is just commit...commit
...commit,this is not enough,promoting a derby is not easy as some think about it,i can't even believe that some just take it for granted even though they have attended more derbies,at least they have some ideas and experiences,and what if those that commit would again would not be around,who would be responsible,with the expenses etc.?and after the derby,we'll go to the management and say where's our share?even if we're just few,if anybody can do that,for me,i'm ashame.are we all sure that those that commit have entries?some in my opinion are just wait and see attitude,its not that simple that since there are already lots that have listed are really sincere,it happen in one of the post or on the other site that there was a deby,lots of committed entries and on the said actual date only few have attended,so what happens gulo,awayan,gantihan na pag ang iba daw pa derby hindi sasali ang kanilang gropo,so i think we're matured enogh and educated,lets not be like others,thats why all i ask is honesty,who really have an entry so that we could count.cause again with or without us the derby in baybay would go ahead,i just ask alittle favor from the astorgas hoping that the derby would be a success and im sure it would with us hand in hand,not argument.and we can have initial funds for the group.

I would like to clear up this subject. The counting must be number of entries not number of EVGBA member who will field in an entry. This is because on my part, just to augment and move closer to the target, I will field in 2 entries instead of 1 plus my invited entries, so for member Ed Arellano alone, I can assure 5 entries so kuha na ang targer sa Norhtern Leyte plus kay bai Monching pa at sa invited niya nga entries? Regarding bad weight, the existing guideline in Valencia is this: The badweight entry must pay 10% of the POT MONEY for every 10 grams of bad weight up to 30 grams. Example for a 40-gram give and take derby, if you are allowed 2.000 inclusive of gave and take, and your cock weighs 2.010 and the pot money is 2,500 then 250 must be paid to the other entry. If the same cock weighs 2.020, then 500 must be paid to the other entry up to the maximum of 30 grams overweight. Beyond 30 grams is CHANGE COCK or automatic zero penalty to the penalized entry and automatic 1 point to the matched entry or the management will provide a cock whatever? depende kung for championship na ang entry nga wala mabadweight, this is case to case kay lisod man sab kaayo mochampion nga walay fight, ang mahitabo ani ang management na lang moprovide of manok para ifight sa for champion. If Baybay has another set of guideline for this, then we have to stick to it.

of being miles and miles away gave their 110%

just so this group could take-off. hope to see you

hehe). indeed, our group blasted off 9 april 2005.

after meeting with bai ed (hats and shorts off to

mr. dynamic, bai ed, for giving his 120% effort for

the cause of the group) at the baybay cockpit at

11am of that day, we went straight ahead to the

house of bai peping sonar where we were warmly

welcomed by his debonair brother loloy. after

some short intros among the members, we went

right down to business.

breeders asso. in leyte and samar, the joy of
personally talking and exchanging jokes, ideas,
and seeing one another face to face ( i thought this
group boasts of the handsomest guys among the
present asso.) and lastly, who can buy the
excitement of the carreo, shouting ono, dos, when
our warriors win and of course the agony of defeat
seeing our warriors getting battered black and blue
and getting the dreaded ono, dos huhuhu.

ok, drawing 1st blood, fight #2 naval jumeca evgba
vs gen. echavez. we lost.

fight#6 warhawk evgba vs. jr incidentally, warhawk
entry is owned by our american friend, mr. paul
gleason whose handle here is tallpaul. he is based
in hindang, leyte where her lovely wife resides. too
bad, he was not able to attend the meeting. anyway,
he showed a red yellow leg straight comb, must be
from claret lines. pretty looking rooster, with great
cutting ability. he disposed of his opponent very
convincingly. congrats paul !

GAMEST !

fight#22 st. bernard evgba vs. survivor. st. bernard
is owned by doc sonny alfaro. hats off to you too doc!
came all the from st. bernard, southern leyte (this is
where his warriors are reared) and bulacan (this is
his residence together with his family). he was with
us at the meeting. will be one of the pillars of this
asso. i believe coz of his long experience and
connections likewise with our breeder bros. in luzon.
gave very informative and useful inputs in our meeting.

back to the fight. doc sonny showed a young grey
yellow leg. incidentally , i believe he paraded a show
of grey bros. of his breeding. they all look alike. after
a few buckles docs' grey was disabled. fisrst his wing,
then the leg gave up also. the opponent kept pounding
on the poor grey but he wont give up. karon, lokapa
na jud intawn pero pag carreo, tusik lang gihapon.
i thought it would only be a matter of time before the
young warrior would give up coz of the beatings he
is taking but i was wrong. must have been at least
3-5 mins of the carreo, until the 10-min time limit
expired and the game grey still gave his last 2 pecks.
bravo doc, for the very game genes you bred there
on your grey !

in my own humble opinion ang next schedule natin should be in the waray-waray area. kailangan natin ang leadership in that area. two years ago naimbita ako ni Eming Codilla sponsor nya ang two cocks derby sa Tolosa,malakas ang pustahan at sultada doon. taga tacloban karamihan, so much alive ang sabong doon. we need more active members from there.we have paul and doc sonny, hope ther's more. sakx2 sinagul nani sinultihan para kasabot daghan, hex3.
in our area from ormoc, bay-bay, isabel at palompon area we can add some names pohon, they don't have access or interest in internet yet.
one of our entries here asking what advantage we have and how come we need the assosasyon and it was also answered accurately by another. aside from comraderie, friends from other places and laughter, we have some issues especially as a backyard breeder. my example before i moved sa bukid, after a couple of years we experience some disease problem with my chickens.luckily my cousin already know doc joey cortes of ormoc and he helped us a lot free of charge. we had chicken diseases that came from import cocks. so, i hope that we can someday afford to finance some of this assistance with our breeding.

If I am correct there is only one cockpit that does stag derby in Leyte, which is Valencia. They have 4 & 5 stags derby. Most of the participants already have their stags banded. I only have 23 stags banded, like bai izlo late na yung iba.

This time frame tag logon so we should take advantage, let's have kitakits and have one stag derby and raise money for the assosasyon at the same time, di ba? Maybe Sept or October.
The screening, procedures are already mentioned by bai Ed and bai Izlo. We just have to be honest with the procedures. Sa San Mateo cockpit were succesful as I read the thread.

If we only have 30 entries for our assosation and we will include some locals that qualifies okay na yan. Three stags will be good but 4 stags will be better, more sultadas. The entry fees, min-max bet pareho lang sa Baybay or a little more okay lang.

For now we need to hear who are interested members and members to be. Let's solicit entries early .

trained, conditioned, and handled in one of the
members' farm. from the pool of warriors, we could
use to join small derbies from other leyte and samar
