Just an update sa pledge nako nga 1 ka manok para sa EVGBA kurambos entry sa Nadongholan Cockpit Ormoc Fiesta Derby, naa gyud ko pirmi ha plus my own entry pero tungod sa sitwasyon sa ako erpats nga mao na puy paggawas(ika-3 na gyud ni) sa ChongHua Cebu na pud unya permanente na gyud ang catheter, dili ta siguro sa June ba gyud ni matimingan sa final voyage niya, anyway, basta dili pa gyud matiming inig-uli nako, sirit gyud ang akong 1 sa kurambos and of course my own entry.Basin unya'g timing ba dili ra ba maayo ug nakahaya pa simbako mahimong kabasolanan i-out lang nako ang ako kon simbako lang, pero permanente nakaprepare mga noks mga abais, kay unsa man galing dayon man gyud ni. I go for the proposal of Bai Cholo with a little modification. May I suggest that we make it a 3-Stag Derby the pot money P3,300 per entry; minimum bet P1,100 and maximum bet P5,500; handler P10,000 and gaffer P5,000.

Also, I would like to join the farm tour if my sked will permit. Will just wait for the date coming from Bai Ryan.

Maayo ang recomendation ni bai cholo sa stag derby. It is a get together affair and not as per say gambling. Although we think our stags cost more. I like the idea of fund raising and comraderie. We all need more ideas and more members to contribute their ideas.

My royda in the farm is not very pretty pero okay na pang barrio tupada place. Don't expect a 3 star accomodation but we will have friendly faces and help. I need bai ed to check it out to see if its okay. Twenty entries wiil fine ug karambola fund raising would be fun.

As I said to the troops that morning I have some kalding for lunch with a price and we will donate the money raised for the association funds. Okay more money for the assn.

peter zabala. he has his backyard breds also and
is doing some breeding for friends in naval and
tanuan. he was able to talk with his friend and
owner of tanuan gallera, bonet perez. got a positive
respons from these guys as they are really very
interested in joining the group and likewise parti-
cipating in our stag derby. there was even an
offer from bonet to hold the derby at their gallera
free of charge !!! they will try to form a group there

final yet and that there is a plan of the group to
visit tacloban and get to know the group there.
they were very enthusiastic about the plan and i
thougt they understood that this is going to be
a friendly derby and that our primary purpose is to
promote camaraderie and friendship among breeders
and to do a fund raising for the association.

hope we could schedule a trip to tacloban. have to

because our target is to get as much breeders as

i informed them of how evgba came about and what
our objectives are. after explaining to them all these,
i also informed them of our plan to stage a 1st evgba
sponsored stag derby. a credible and legitimate stag
only (at least 7 primary wing feathers, untampered
spurs not longer than a 25c coin, general appearance
of a stag.)

little did i know that after explaining to them this, i was
bombarded with a lot of NEGATIVE questions from
the senior breeders that are present there. maayo na
lang wala ma-wala ang composure nato didto ug i was
also ably assisted and backed up by bai izlo (hala sokol
mo, dako ra ba ni ako buddy2x, hehehe).

VENUE : Tanuan Gallera ( owned and operated by
bonette perez. he offered to have the
gallera for free in order to generate more
funds for the evgba. however, he requested
that should there be more than enough
income from the proceeds, P10k will be
deducted to cover labor, utilities, taxes, etc.)

FORMAT : 3 stag derby (this was also suggested by
the owner coz per his experience, we will
generate more income at the gates, as
more patrons would be watching if it is
a 3 or more cock derby.

ENTRY FEE : P2,500.00 ( to make it affordable for
more backyard breeders to participate
which is mass based.

So, dili lang usa ko mag-active ani nga event but will try my best to field an entry as participant na lang usa. So, bai cholo, bai ryan, bai izlo(if he is still around), bai monching(if he is still around) will take charge nga ma-push through gyud ni nga derby. To everybody, please take note of the latest post of bai cholo as that will be the basis of everything. He will be very busy during that time because of so many derby activities in Manila, so, he is proposing the derby day to be moved to OCTOBER 8, 2005 .The reason is, the last leg of the LGBA will be Oct. 12 and 14 and as much as he is very willing to support and field an entry for our EVGBA stag derby and because of the conflict of dates, we will field an entry together. Meaning, if I will be around, I can bring his and my stags together to comprise of 2 entries, Doc Sonny EVGBA and my La Edre EVGBA entry.Bai Cholo please dessiminate the proposal to the new members if you have their contact numbers. I would suggest the officers will decide the date of the derby with the following consideration: Availability of your officers to be present in your derby, schedule of your derby will not coincide with any derbies nearby, the cockpit operator and members as well will give you full support for this first ever 3 stag derby of EVGBA. I can go to Tacloban Sept 17 or October 9 only due to my scheduled derbies in Negros and Manila. I would be happy to meet you all and enjoy your company.

Some said mas duol pa sa Tacloban, some said pareha kalay-a and this and that? anyway, ang Tacloban, biyahe na nako akoy magdrive 2 1/2 hours from Isabel he he he ang Caibiran bisan unsaon nako 3 1/2 gyud kay mora man ni gipasagdan ang ilang national highway didto sa atong government officials in the provincial level. Wa kay kalikyan sa karsada dagko kaayong bato naa pa gyuy ubang portions nga ang bato dili madala ug bulldoz ako appraisal, iblasting gyud usa to, basta dugay lukso-lukso sa sakyanan, sige ko tan-aw Cabucgayan pa man(a town b4 Caibiran) so, mitawag ko ni Jun Juanico a fellow EVGBAn verifying which route is shorter via Naval or? pero wala ko pahibalo nga didto na ko sa Cabucgayan route, he suggested to go straight via Cabucgayan kay kon via Naval cross-country na kuno, so knowing wala ko masaag sige gyud lukso2...tug tug tug finally abot mi sa residence sa atong amigo bai BenC. 2. Banded stags by accredited associations will all be accepted as well as not banded provided legitimate. Participants with banded stags must present a copy of banding record sheet during the leg banding and screening for the legitimacy of their entry.

3. Only stags with seven(7) primary feathers on each wing will be accepted. Cut spurs will not be accepted. Should have the general appearance of a STAG.

4. Vultures and Double Bladed knives shall not be allowed

5. No entry should withdraw any of the stags even if the entry has no bearing for the money as long as the opponent still has bearing.

6. Any 2 points(insurance), in case the champion is only 2 points,the insurance automatically goes to the champion.

7. If the Stag refuses to fight, the owner of the entry shall change the stag with the substitute stag which had been duly registered, legbanded and screened by the committee. In the event that there is no available stag matched to the opponent's weight, the committee(EVGBA) will provide a joker stag.The joker stag must be a duly registered, legbanded and screened by the committee.

8. The DECISION of the screener whether a stag has passed or failed, is FINAL .NO FURTHER ARGUMENTS TO SAVE US VALUABLE TIME TO START THE DERBY.

WORKING COMMITTEES:

1. Cockhouse Assignment - In-Charge Bai Ryan with one person to be appointed by Mr. Bonnette Perez

2. Priority Number giver - 1 person EVGBA appointed

3. Legband Giver/Wingband Number Listing - 2 persons EVGBA appointed. Usa taga taud sa legband ug usa taga lista.

4. Screening Group - Rebel and EVGBA members(4 to 5 persons)

SCENARIO DURING THE DERBY DAY:

1. Each participant is encouraged to bring his entry as early as 6:00 AM on the derby day.

2. Upon arrival in the cockpit, each participant will be given priority numbers

3. The cockhouse assignment in-charge will assign a cockhouse for each participant

4. Each participant will be called for screening of his entry according to the priority number. Each owner will bring 5 stags for screening.

5. Only one entry will enter the Screening Room at a time.

6. All stags that passed the screening according the house rules, will be legbanded. The legband and wingband(if there is any) will be listed accordingly.

7. All stags that failed the screening will be marked by a PERMANENT MARKER.

8. To facilitate early matching, the DECISION of the screener whether a stag has passed or failed, is FINAL .This will be backed-up by EVGBA.

9. After the screening and legbanding, each owner will personally submit his individual entry with weights, legband numbers, name and owner of entry before 12 HIGH NOON.

10. MATCHING will start thereafter and while this will be going on, hackfights will take place for those stags that failed the screening.Hackfights is an open affair, an extra stag, bullstag or "patusik" can be paired-up, it's the owner's option.

11. KARAMBOLA FOR ALL PASSED STAGS(EXTRA STAGS): Entry Fee 500.00 pesos WINNER TAKE ALL

12. During the derby, the cutting of the legbands will only be done, seconds before taking out of the individual "BAINA".

EVGBA must provide 10 passed stags as "JOKER" in case a situation in HOUSE RULES No. 7 will take place. We are soliciting EVGBA member with extra stags to provide. BenC will coordinate with Bai Naval and Bai Tony on this. Any member can volunteer to provide like bai Izlo, et al. A BIG BIG THANK YOU from EVGBA on this matter.
