mga REMINDERS lang daw mga abais :

1. please remind our invited participants of the 7-7
intact primary wings rule he will STRICTLY implement
on the day of screening. in relation to this, in order
to avoid disappointments, heartaches, etc. please
advise them to bring EXTRA STAGS just in case.
lisod kaayo, hilabi na sa mga gikan pa jud sa layo
kaayo na logar unya ma-disqualify lang elahang mga
stags.

2. mga abais, remind si bai rebel sa mga JOKERS. wala
ra ba ni nato matagae jud ug TOTOK/PAGTAGAD.
very impt. daw na we have jokers of different weights
for emergency purposes, i.e. matching, will not show
(magpatalaw), etc, etc.

@@ we have to unite in this matter of jokers and
hope that we not give the addtl burden to our
leaders but that we be one in helping this
stag derby be a success by bringing spare stags
just in case we will need one.

of course, they have to pass the qualifications
of our screener.

Since the derby is fast approaching, I think its high time to have our own Logo & we should have it printed in the t-shirt we are going to use during the derby to be used by the Acting Officials and the various Committee Members to be recognized easily.

Up to this point of time, we don't have the official application or a sort of enrollment form for the membership as we are still trying to establish a set of officers with their respective responsibilities. Once this is done, then that will be the next thing to produce and distributed to all members and would be members, for our central file and control. We are still in the period of getting more members and prospect officers at the same time raising funds by holding derbies. Sept. 17 derby will be the 2nd, the 1st was a 3-cock derby in Baybay, Leyte and oncoming is a 3-stag derby in Tanauan, Leyte. Wish to see you guys.....

re derby proceeds arrangement : i thought the proposal
of bonet as posted again by bai ed is the simplest and
most practical for our stag derby. we just have to trust
bonet on the income & expenses side coz really the
offer to use the venue was out of his goodness/kindness. maybe in the future, if we are organized with
committed members in supporting our sponsored der-
bies, then we can promote our own derby with our
own people.

re matching of stags : may i propose that we do it ala
"north" (waray area) vs. south (visayan speaking area)
to make it more exciting ! the warays will be well
represented as the venue is very close to them so
the visayan speaking area would be a sort of combine
coz of the smaller no. of entries they can put up. i
propose also that we volunteer a matchmaker from our
side coz more or less we know who the breeders are
in our area.

Q. mahimo ba kini sa computerized matching ?

btw, do we know already who has a computerized
matching software ?

re JOKERS : i am really worried about the jokers. i
have seen many times (from my exp. of partici-
pating in 3 stag derbies in vsc) how stags act
in derbies. they are very inconsistent. we will be
using young stags and i really thought we can
never tell how they will act specially for us, who
will be travelling them for many hours. i just hope
that we can tell/explain very well to our participants
na dili mag-kompyansa. bring extra no. of stags or
else kita na mga officers mag problema as we will
be placed on the line. (i am bringing extra no. of
stags and so will bai ed, naval, benc,tcmeca,izlo,

We can get a matching software but we have to pay the owner rental fee. In addition, we must have a laptop computer and a printer for it to work.

I will be going home to St. Bernard anytime next week to feel and work my stags for the upcoming derbies. Will it be possible for me to drop by Ryan's place to get the invitations for southern leyte's pledges?

In my opinion, the North and South pairings will not look good since we must have the same number of entries from both sides to make it possible. If this will happen, it will appear as if this is a battle between the two islands of eastern visayas. Just my piece.

If we have access of the computerized matching, mas maayo. Also dili maayo kun polarized ang matching. We will try to avoid that.Halo-Halo lang mas maayo, break the ice between us.

you're our hero !!! we have been dead worried re
jokers to replace stags who will not show during the
derby fights. now i remember, hehe, hope most of
them are still in st. bernard. please bring some extra
stags too.

i just talked with bonet re computerized matching.
GOOD NEWS ! he has a software !! he asked me
to see how it works tomorrow during the derby and
see if it will work out fine. he suggested that we
stick to plan #A (red flag) as most of the warays
have been informed that this is how our stag derby
would go. maybe, when we are organized already,
we could feel the reactions of the members on a
north vs south derby ( para naa na pod lain sod-an).

doc sonny, maybe you should not close the doors as
well on your friends' computerized matchding software.
see how it works, how much would the rental be ?
bonet has a laptop and i thought he too has a printer
as he mentioned that he was able to use it already
in one of their derbies (lisod lang daw ni sa open bet
type derbies). its good to have a plan B.

re the derby tomorrow, everything is already properly
coordinated (tata,mading, joey, n jun). we requested a
late fight schedule (bet. 11pm-12am) with bonet, so as
to give our fighters time to rest and stretch out their
muscles. GO GO GO EVGBA !

Nice to hear from you.

All of my stags are still in St. Bernard thats why I'm going home anytime next week to inspect, feel and work them for the coming stag derbies.

How many stags do we need and what weight so I can have them prepared if they are in the right condition.

If you are going to run the matching software, try to see if the program is in excel format or not. Try to see if there are no double fights in the result and that we must remember that there will be a lot of request for no fight from several entries which must also be included in the data inputs. In addition, fight sequence will be done manually because we have a lot of entries hopefully.

All first bet must be declared so we can already segregate the minimum and maximum.

Por siguro, I will just bring with me the software.

Ang diskarte ani sa pagprint, ang background ra maoy may paint depende sa color nga guwapo maybe tangerine-with black lining whatever? Ang manok maoy mahabilin nga wala gyuy print molutaw lang na siya after painting the background. That's it, thanks for the more realistic and artistic version of the logo. Maybe instead of a circle, it might be a diamond shape logo with no sharp edges background, whatever will make it look better, let's go na.

tingali ni bonet para jud sa sept 17 stag. gikinahanglan lang sayo jud ta para kapili jud na ayon para sa atoang stags. anyway, the screening of the derby starts at 5am, so the early
bird catches the coziest cakhaws jud ! btw, wala ra bai numbers
ang mga cakhawses so lisod kaajo kon specifica cakhaws ang
atoang gusto.

Ang jokers kun moabot ug tulo ka stags, mahimo usa ka entry. Dili mahimo mo champion kon wala entry fee. So pwede kurambos or finaced by the management and pusta min by the owners. That will make it fair sa tanan. Maybe 60-40 ang bahinay 60 sa asso. or e-donate nalang from the stags owner to the association. Kon duna ako joker makuha, Donate nalang akoa sa asso. This is my one cent opinion lang.

1. if we have our stag used for non-bearing entries, no incentive
lang, loyalty bet lang.

2.if we have our stag used for entries with bearing (champion
ship), we can put up our loyalty bet plus arrangement with
the owner re sharing of purse.

3. if we have extra stags and wanted to put up kurambos entry,
we have to pay (1/3 ea) entry fee for it to be entitled for
prized money.

Pagpost ni Bai Cholo parti sa legband and applicator mitext dayon ko ni bai Rebel kay tua man koy wingband applicator. My point was, instead of buying an applicator kadto na lang akong para sa wingband gamiton and this is only possible kon makakuha ta ug legband nga pareho ug feature sa akong mga wingbands.Luckily, bai Rebel knows a legband type nga puwede gamitan atong akong wingband applicator so the topic was closed with the agreement nga siya na lay palit ug legbands, irefund na lang together with his round trip plane fare, hotel accommodation and food allowance. So, nagsalig na lang ko sa iya WORD OF HONOR as far as his attendance and other things are concerned.So, hopefully smooth sailing ang atong paderby small things will come out during and after the derby pero with the usual cooperation of all of us, OK ra man sab. Late this afternoon, I met with Mr. Lagmay, Mr. Labra and Dr. Rodner (Area Manager Vis-Min) of UNIVET. We talked about our forthcoming 3-STAG DERBY. We also discussed re: Posters and T-Shirts, they told me that they will try their best to give us the posters because Dr. Lagmay told me that it takes a month for them to process our request but he told me also he has a second alternative for the posters. They have already a uniform poster format for Thunderbird and I told them that, if it is possible for them to make a handwritten posters for us instead of printing it uniformly since the said event is already near. And they told me that they will make the posters as soon as possible so that we can advertise the Derby in all the Cockpit Houses in the region. And we also discussed re: Election of Officers I explained to them about what we have deliberated with Bai Cholo that instead of electing officers since it’s already too late, why not appoint members who are active in helping make this upcoming derby possible. As we go on with our chicken talk Dr. Rodner asked me with regards to our plans come Derby day. I told them that all the entrants from other municipalities and cities in our region are coming on the 16th of September for the reservation of their cock house. And Dr. Rodner inquired also, if we are going to have a meeting and I told them that if ever majority or all the members will be around, and also with the presence of our guest Mr. Raul Ebeo as our “Official Screener” we might have a Kita-Kits in the evening and then Dr. Rodner suggested why not make it a Cocktail Dinner for All EVGBA Members and Guests with the UNIVET Staff sponsored by UNIVET of course. :D And I said that is a great idea. And then the UNIVET Staff told me that on September 16, 2005, it will be better if during the Assembly, our very own El Presidente Mr. Eduardo Arellano will address us with the Opening Remarks, followed by his speech as the President and Chicken Talk will follow and also Product Management by the UNIVET Staff and of course Promotion of their products as well and this will be hosted by Bai Cholo. And they also want to discuss re: future plans of our organization. They also mentioned to me that they are willing to help us with the Wing Banding for our next Stag Derby come 2006. On the Derby day, Dr. Rodner told me, that they’ll be the one to dress-up the cockpit and that they might be able to give us a gift pack for every participant. For the Officers they will provide a T-Shirt.

mga bai,regarding sa pag advertise sa atong stag derby nagplano mi with the help of my sis in manila na ipaadvertise ta ang atong stag derby sa tukaan kay kaila man sila ni doc jun cueto.gi fax kona tong invitation sa friday nag huwat nalang ko sa reply ni sis kong kanos-a ig on air sa tukaan.

Sangkay Piranha,
Yes Mr. Raul Ebeo is confirmed to be the official screener and by himself. His handle is Rebel, he is a Bisaya but based in Manila working in one of the offices of Cebu Pacific Airlines. He is an active member of Cyberfriends and one of the working officers for all CF sponsored derbies. Before we officially picked him as the official screener, we made sure he will be available. There is no alternate official screener unless necessary. Mr. Bonet is the owner of the Tanauan Sports and Recreation Arena. His role is to prepare his place for the derby and field the necessary men we might need for our several working committees to conduct the derby properly.

ANOTHER THING:
Maayo unta well represented ta sa whole region(at the moment Leyte pa gyud ang nagtikawtikaw, of course Biliran is still Leyte ha! he he he) in terms of officers. Sa pagkakaron, sa Leyte pa ang makita natong active members, so obviously dire pa ta karon makakuha ug officers but even then, dili well represented ang Leyte so I suggest may officer ta somewhere in Biliran, Southern Leyte, etc. si Jigs Caday unta wala pa lang siguro mosuroy sa web, pero wa man gyud to siyay natagaman sa ato siguro:lol: so, Doc Sonny heellllllp....

At least insurance unta ang 1 ka entry pero kon nafight ang tanan 4 L ug 2 W, suma total = pilde gamay:lol: mao man gyud ning bisyoha dili pud malikyan ang kang Eming kay bisan asa na siya entra ron ug derby para promotion sa iya stag derby.
