Siguro puydi na kung sino mayroon idea or sample ng membership form ng ating association para ipang email sa mga magiging members pag-aabot na tayo ng (20).At saka yong logo ng association na maka emphasize ang sports not a game like "casino game"if possible.nya pag first initial derby kung wala pang officers,puydi lang siguro e devide ang mga members para mag designate/assign kung sino ang gumawa ng dapat gawin para maging tama like one of our goal (equivalent to computer match,and winner take all minus funding para association).

Kutob ra ko sa automation,controls,power generation pero sa computer programming, medyo beeeehindddd tayo kaunti hex3.About the requirements and criteria for the membership, wala pa ta or else puwede sab nato ipatch dito ang sa Cyberfriends of course we have to delete those items not applicable to our group pero baka yana pangasuk-an ta, na nanggaya, so again, we need the inputs from everybody.About the derby ma 3 or 4-ck whatever?, if we say computerized matching, ewan ko sa pustahan?di ba yana iwasan natin malaking center bet para mabilis, walang lugro? So, ito ang ma-suggest ko out from my experience nagpaderby ako(kahit 2-ck lang) sa akin matching den hosting pa medyo madugo, ganito na lang siguro, magdeclare tayo ng minimum bet such figure to be agreed by the group.During the submission of weigths, unless an entry will declare his bet, all entries are to be assumed na the bet is the minimum.Of course, any entry can declare a bet other than the minimum but this has to be confirmed later if he has the matched entry kay,tayo man ang promoter lahat nito,wala man joker2.Kung makakuha ng ka-matched na bet and of course the timbang of the manokis, then iconfirm ito na GO na.Otherwise, kon pila lang ang SPOT EVEN BET mao ra ang mapusta kay all fights once inside are all GO na.
Prize money is WINNER TAKE ALL kay lahat tayo promoter mahirap magdeclare ng guaranted prize, in this aspect, I suggest na palakilakihan natin ang pot money para lumaki rin ang prize money and of course, invite as many entries as possible.Kaya lang ako nagbanggit ng pustahan dahil, this is part of the game especially those coming from medyo malayo-layo incentive sa pagod aside from meeting each one of us!.Sige ifinalize na ninyo mga sangkay,mga migo,mga bai at ang target cock derby will be April 2005...see!!! that is 3 months from now.We have to ACT---ion NOW:rbounce:

The first set of derby rules we should observe is putting in our mind na walay polarization. Wala ang north against south, or big timer nor small timer. The purpose is to have everybody have some fun and not to loose a lot of money or trying to win a lot. After the first one we can have lesson learned and try to improve.
Everybody fights each other, walay no fight to my friend or buddy. Computer type matching, try no double fight. minimum to maximum bet only, larga dayon. Bahala namo mag pa tawag sa labas. Ang diprensya $$ sa center bet, bahinon dawat 300 pesos each person rotation up to maximum bet only, say 2k min.- 4k max. Ang feedback nila wala nay modawat kung dako unya pirmi. Kung lugi ka kasi mahal imo manokis, pretend donation lang na. Pwede after derby equal share each member sa share or ? ? ?
In short dili moadto kay mosugal. After da derby we can hone the rules.

Mga amigong breeders, Im suggesting to create a committe for wing banding sa mga cockerels, so we can have stag derby in the near future just to test our new bloodlines. I will also pm or email to you a sample of a registration form. Regarding the rules, my suggestion is to follow the rules used by the NFGB, i.e., the "UNIFIED RULES OF COCKFIGHTING". I will bring a copy or try to post it here on our thread.

Sa computer match, we won't have any problem as we already have the software program. We can program it as "blind match" or "matching by category" (3 bet category). But the best to use is blind matching since this will be fair to all and delays are eliminated. Sa fight sequence, 1st five lower weight and next five higher weights. The rest ay random selection na ng computer according to registered weights at 30 or 40 gms give and take. Walang itong double fight as we have already tested the program in 3 derbies.

Balitaw, since our asso. is still in infancy stage, i suggest that we will use the style of UBBA or CF in San Mateo cockpit, where they screened the stags a day or two days before the derby (walang banding). We will just hire a reliable screener ( if we can afford) that could not be bribed or not afraid to disqualify, kung dili moqualify as a stag, kahit sino pa ang may-ari.

Kung 4-stag derby, dala ka ng 6-8 na stag, ipa screen kung pasado apat na stag mo, no problemo ka na, kung rejected ang 3 na stag mo, hanap ka na lang ng ibang entries na hindi nakabuo ng 4 na stag para maging isang entry kayo. Kaya siguradohin natin na stag talaga ang mga dala natin, para walang probema, hindi ama ng stag he he he. Bahala na kaka unti ang entries basta puro talaga lehitimong stag ang naglalaban laban.

Nagwork ito na scheme sa kanila ( UBBA/CF) at puede siguro nating kopyahin, para makasali rin ang ibang kaibigan natin coming from other regions like Bohol, Dumaguete and Cebu. Meaning all members should be a reliable gamecock breeders (exclusive) those without breeding yard (either backyad or commercial breeding) should not be qualified to be a legitimate member. We have to police ourselves and maintain the integrity. Banding and record keeping is a must. The CEGBA as I heard had their own guidance.
Sa stag derby mayron ding tumakbo na stags dahil they are really young. Also meron din napuslit na hindi dapat qualified and they won the championship. This is reality. So outsiders is hard to track.

Mapagkakasunduan natin ang plano sa stag derby, whether it be exclusive for Leyte-Samar members or invitational to non-members . Pwede ring pag-usapan kung tatanggap ng hindi taga Eastern Visayas.
Banding of baby stags OR no banding, that should be one of the agenda.
Exclusive for Ley-Sam OR open stag derby, should be another issue. Mabuti ang exclusive dahil sa madaling i-manage. Masaya rin ang open stag in the long run, para may competition.
ONE PURPOSE of breeding is to find out if your product can compete sa LAHAT.
Kung ano man ang desisyon ng grupo ay malamang na sang-ayon ako.

Sangkay piranha, for any stag/cock derby in the future, it is more advantageous for us breeder to use exclusively stag/cock banded with EVGBA. Yes, we are open to all financiers/cockers even non-members to participate. but the fighting cocks to be used must come from the legitimate members. Meaning, we will be promoting our own products for sale or open to be financed by all cockers (kahit pa taga saan siya). Importante all entries are banded with EVGBA. Kasi ang nangyayari ngayon we are dependent from other sources, particularly bacolod-based breeders.
Kung susuportahan ninyo itong proposal, lalakas at lalakas ang industriya natin dito (gamecock breeding). Siguradong mag pa patronize sila sa mga produktong sariling atin, at in the long run mabubuhay ang lahat ng mga LEY-SAM gamecock breeders.
Ok lang yan sa ngayon magpa derby ta, wala pang banding2 (invitational derby) kahit imported pa ang gamitin nila ok lang. Pero may minimum at maximum bet para deri ta mahirapan magpa larga. Less all expenses, the proceeds should go to the association.
Mga sangkay kailangan in addition to the funds raised for every derby mag collect kita membership fee. Siguro kung ok kayo mga 1,000 sa atin for the first batch or sa mga organizers ( succeding batch pwede na mag increase, he he he). See you all on April 9, 2005. Let us discuss point by point:

1. Membership Requirements:

Doc Daecox arguments is well taken. However, accepting members whose fowls are bred and kept outside the region wont NEGATE the essence of the EVGBA so long as they (owners) came from eastern visayas. Pandopo, (the proponent of 'Waray-Waray hain na kamo') ,Tubignon and many others including myslelf has fowls that are not based in the region but can relocate them if it be one of the basic requirements. But again, let not our rules be too stiff since the formation of ANY organizations be it civic, sectarian, or sports etc. is NOT the purpose to devide us but to UNITE us.

2. Stag Derby.

If it be to TEST our 'Products' from Eastern Visayas then, ONLY those birds/fowls that are bred and raised from eastern Visayas should participate.(Exclusive).

IF the purpose is to have a stag derby *** EVGBA Formation/membership meeting then, let it be OPEN to all cockers/members or those who intend to be a member if he hails from Samar,Leyte, Biliran and Southern Leyte. The source of the stag is immaterial as long as it is a Stag. Pls note that we have friends who are from east visayas that bred fowls outside the region who are likewise interested in the SUCCESS of this proposed org. Accepting 'Stag' from wherever and whatever sources they may come from, again, does NOT NEGATE the essence of the EVGBA so long as the STAG is a REAL Stag. The main argument here is the success of THE FORMATION of the EVGBA and, the Stag competiton is just a 'Palabok' to it. There may be,.. just may be, other guys who at the momment is contemplating to be a member and has a few trios and has produced Cockerel (5 months below) in his yard but NO male fowl that can be considered as a Stag at the momment and yet interested to participate in the stag derby we cannot ignore or prevent him from participating because one of the objective of an organization like our proposed EVGBA is 'Camaradarie'...Perhaps, once the EVGBA is formed then we can set our rules and police ourselves.

(Now, what is your defination of a stag? Others, say a Stag is a male of about 6 to 8 months, some says 8 to 10 months while the american cockers defination is any male chiken of LESS that 1 (one) year.)

3. Cock Derby
If the purpose of the Cock Derby is to stage a FORMAL EVGBA MEETING... at the same time, ...then the source of the cock requirements should be open to all but ONLY Cockers from eastern visayas can participate. First, this is to gather cockers from the region during our first meeting, Second, the rule of 'exclucivity' for east visayas bred cocks will not find the real 'Test' for the region's based fowls.

ok, alright, ayos, have read the post of our abais and kasankayans and i 2nd the motion all their well meaning ideas, suggestions, and opinions.

1st things first, how do we start the ball rolling ? i agree that this could only be done if we ourselves set, organize and support our own EVGBA staged derby. i also agree that the purpose of this derby is to set up a fund (for future expenses in the organization of our asso.). i also agree that this derby is staged for the purpose of getting to know one another and initially meeting for the purpose of setting up the vision of the EVGBA (which I HOPE & SUGGEST that it be a non-stock and non-profit) so that it would be aimed at uplifting our beloved hobbies into a "SPORT" in its truest sense.

relative to this, i support the move that a 3 cock derby be held in the 9th of april. i support a P3,500 pot money winner take all (could be reduced to a lesser amount if more entries participate). i also support a P2,200 min and P5,500 max center bet. as to the venue, i hope it would be in ormoc (sana).

as to the other objectives and membership fee, these could be discussed by the board or officers.

btw, i may be silent but i am silently working, hehehe.

- This will be my best chance to test my product against the big timers IF the bigtimers will risk their expensive manoks in a small time derby. Kasi, there is no way that I will be pitted against the bigtimers kung sasali ako sa regular derby, unang una, hindi ako ka level nila- minimum lang ang kaya ko sa kanila sigurado malaki, sakit ulo promoter ha ha ha. Tapos, kung manalo pa manok ko convincingly, mas maencourage ko pa si Misis na dagdagan niya ang budget sa mga manok ko. As for the Economics, it will follow but I have to prove it first in the Pit, so, kung natalo ko si Mister bigtimer kahit baldado yong ipinasok niya dahil small time derby lang at nahihiya siya sa imbitasyon ng kumpare niya kaya sumali, puede ko na siguro akong makapresyo ng maganda sa mga manokis ko.

OK for the purpose of declaring which format is the majority at the moment, please check below. But this is not a proclamation pa ha because it's not me who will declare the winning format but everybody, anyway here it is:
10 voted straight for 3 cock derby, 3,500 pot money,April 9, 2005, Min bet 2.2T Max bet 5.5T starts @ 1:30PM sharp.

- Naval voted for same format above except that max.bet is no limit and can be called for, for a max. of 5 mins. for the odds as low as walo - anim. After the time limit, larga na kung magkano lang ang napusta

This will be an open derby as we are only a co-promoter the net proceeds will be 60/40 sharing. The 60% will go to the co-promoter at the same time the cockpit owners and the 40% will go to the EVGBA.

NOTES:
1. Bai Peping please be consistent with your proposal, I think you mentioned in your post before the pot money was 2,200 now I put 3.300 as per your post lately, then the minimum is 1,100 but the agreed minimum was 2,200. Please check these 2 areas accordingly.
2. Maximum bet must be 5,500 unless he so will decide to bet beyond the maximum, then he will be in an open matching category and will declare his desired bet.I am emphasizing this amount as this was the agreed majority maximum bet otherwise our voting will be null and void
3. All EVGBA entries will only fight each other and it's understood that his bet is within the minimum and maximum bet bracket the only exception is when he wants to register a bet beyond the maximum and or there is no matched weights for his submitted weights within the array of EVGBA member entries then our co-promoter will take charge of finding the corresponding match
4. We will have our representative only in the monton area the name of the representative will be decided during the morning meeting of the derby day
5. Each entry must have one representative to attend the morning meeting and he will vote in behalf of the EVGBA member concerned.
6. Bai Peping please post the deadline for any member to post his objection to the above format for you to make the final negotiation with the Astorgas, otherwise, if no objection until such date, the above format will prevail.

I had a great time watching the Candelaria Derby, together with the barkadas. We cheered, as our amigos fought a galant fight . "Dos Hermanos" scored 6 wins and 1 loss. Last fight was a win against the Idol, PA.
Sa Valencia fiesta derby, way swerte ang GM Gamefarm (Carigara). Doble zero jud ang resulta sa elimination, but, sabi ni Ed, there is always a next time.
Ang entry ni amigo Dr. Jao ( Besure ) ay hanggang elimination din.

Sa Riviero,Mandaue, OK ang kang bai Izlo waiting na lang siya bukas sa finals, ang aking(with my co-financer cousin) 2 entries, 1-0 at 0-1 ang score sa 3rd day of elims medyo malas2 hindi na lang papasok sa for INSURANCE but instead, will reentry, bayad ulit ng pot money, hindi pumayag ang management na magstraight fight kami,so insert kami 2 fights ngayon sa fight for the insurance day.

Another entry from Leyte na maganda ang performance ay ang Butsky farm ni Chiboy Pongos, handler lang niya ang nakita ko wala si Chiboy, biro nyo malas ang Talisayin since Tuesday, nakalisot itong kanya.Hindi ko na nakita ang 2nd fight at nalito ako sa talo sa trabisya pasok labas sa VIP section nawala tuloy ang tracking ko sa 2nd fight.

entries supposed to be an express derby but
nabali, take your time derby. very un-usual for
the said bolangan. we're supposed to end early
coz of our scheduled fights but we ended up closing
the derby at 2 am.

anyways, our entry (april 8 vsc 3ck anniversary
derby) financed by emeng codilla showed a 1W 1L
card. daog mi sa grupo nila boboy wiegle, biya mi
mga abais kai dako man ug parada ila grupo, 66K
pero gi-koninitan ang dakong deperensya nila
emeng, winnie ug iya papa. variable na pag-larga

Hi Jigs it's good that you and Naval come into the picture.This issue is brought up because as per feedback from the Baybay Amusement Center, we will lose our share if the total entries belonging to EVGBA members can not reach 20?In my case, considering the short span of lead time against the derby day, finding another venue is already tight, we better come up with the sufficient number of entries among us which is not impossible to attain.Figurewise, let's say from Samar, Tacloban, Carigara and the rest of the waray2 group = 5 entries, Ormoc/Valencia = 5, Baybay,Hindang,Sogod and the rest of Southern Leyte = 5, Isabel/Palompon and the rest of Northern Leyte = 5. Actually, mayroon pang pinipledged si Bai Naval nga mininum 3 entries ginawa ko na lang yan as contingency plan, optimistic aside, parang aabot talaga. Although we have all the pledges but there is a saying TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE so, again, nandiyan ang contact # ng in-charge sa sabongan hala bira mga amigos, malapit na let's not be disturbed by the vaguity of the matter.Actually, hindi muna sana ako magpost at hayaan munang maraming mag react/input tungkol dito but since bai zhygz is seem what asking???ini-explain ko na lang.Good day to everybody
