    up and down techineque

Ed, thanks for great idea for sabungerous,

Personally im using 4x4x6 for hatch bloodlines to develop more power of their legs and thigh and increase heart beating and increasing speed, this kind of techique are more accurate, goes up and down tech. are best way of develop the power than flying pens, the most important their is bring your cocks alert, aggressive all the time and hunger. im using half b-complex for maintance nothing more

    Velcro By McDaugh

Sharing with you about Velcro I purchase eggs from late Mr McDaugh I think 6dozen. I hand carry going to P>I. God bless only 9 chicks hatch; one male 2 female survived. that was 2002. But I never regret considering x-ray in JFK and Hong-kong too much. Anyway, He won easily the Derby in Sugod Leyty last month. Now I concentrate Velcro and troy sweater for this time.
    Thanks again..

    Hi Ed,

I'm not contesting your secret. And I appreciate you sharing it with us. I am not a great conditioner neither a great breeder. I've seen some of the farms of those who are currently joining the WSC and those winning the derbies in the bigtime arena. And I noticed that they have similar conditioning pens or I say flying pens but they are different than what you have.

They have this type of pens:

9 Feet High, 3 Feet wide x 8 feet long. Flying Pole Height is 6 Feet. The wooden pole length is 8 inches to 1 foot long.

They do not feed until 4:45 PM in the afternoon. I was informed too that they do not feed until 6:45 in the morning during the 3 week keep or training.

    Reasons:

Pole height - Stronger air from wings and stronger legs.

Pole Width - To train their eyes for target ability. The shorter the better (6 inches).

    8' L x 3' W Pen is for their running ability - Speed.

My one morning and afternoon visits which were prior to feeding, I saw the birds fly up and down that 6-foot high pole with just 8 inches pole length. Run back and forth through that 8-foot by 3-foot wide pen made up of sand with some dried leaves.

The results are great as I can see their records at the bigtime stag and cock derby.

Saw Fonso over the weekend at Brownsville. Never thought that you have some brilliant ideas bout conditioning my freind thought that you were busy with your martial arts carreer.

A very merry xmas to you and a happy & healthy new year. Please pass my regards to your wife & kids.

Sir I was wondering do you put doors on the end of these pens and sheet metal all on the top or just partial? Also was wondering if you get very many froze feet from these pens with partial tops and the 2 by 4s being sideways? And do you think nailing a 2 by 4 to the bottom like a sawhorse would keep them from going under the roost. Also how do you go about building the 2x4 off the ground? Do you use 2by4 frame or 2 by12? thanks for your time sir.

    cages design

no frozen feet because bird lays on all of feet keep them warm , partial top is better in high speed wind ,full tops blow over partial tops do not, go to pitfowl.com,gallery, edmcclaskey gallery of pics and see actual cages of mine, look at cages in background of some pics see how high jumps are and total pics of cages, edmcclaskey, these are my actual cages I use for conditioning my birds 365 day a year, my personal fighting stock.I use a catch rooster to get roosters out of pen, use a fishing net to get hens out, but a door would be better. in the middle where you could reach both directions

Sounds good! From what I can tell of the pic you are useing a 2 by 12 for frame and stacking 2 2by4s for the roost please correct if I am wrong? Also on the outside 2by4s going vertical are you doubling them up ( one nailed to the 2by12 on the inside and the outer one nailed to the inside one?) as well to get a strait line for the wire? Also I was wondering was you wraping the wire around the whole pen without but 1 cut or do you find it better to cut each side and staple each section.? I couldnt tell on what kind of top do you use sheet metal or rolled roof?

my handler recently copied a method used by sagupaan patrick antonio's in conditioning gamefowls. he puts the cock together with a hen for about 5 to 6 days in the 21 days keep.. my handler said that it will sharpen the cock. i am doubtful to this idea as it might hamper the strenght of the cock comes fight day. i need some advice on this matter. thanks.

    hi partner888
just tempted to share my understanding on why PA practices of having his cocks stays wiht the hens or pullets ( preferred ) ...
as explained by PA ... he does it, prior to the conditioning proper, to get rid of the fats gained during the cocks long period of minimal activities ( during moults or otherwise ), the chasing those pullets will helps a lot in burning those fats, and also perks up the cock ... normally at least 3 pullets for at least a week ...

some handlers/conditoners ... allows their cocks to a have pullet-shots prior keeping, at least 5 - 7 days before the fight ...
according to them, helps the cocks to be more focus and relax ... it somehow, revitalize the cocks, after a long period of keeping / conditoning ...

with all those vits and supplements ... any cocks surely love to unload those excess ... with a pullet ...

    -happy cocking

Ed about you pens I noticed you didnt have anything on the side of your pens. I made pens like yours and mine burnt up in them in the sun until I put some wood on the side in the middle where the roost is . I dont know if this hurt them from going back and forth as much because I couldnt leave it off them. Do you have problems with them not having any shade at any part of the day or do you have trees all around to where they are constantly shaded?
