stinger I like your pens very nice. I notice in the PI. and mexico that alot of people use blocks around the pens. What is the purpose of this? Also what are your pens made of? It look like fish net. What are the process of making them? I notice alot of filpinos are smart and dont use alot of wood and make good on there resources.

My conditioning pen is at the same size ay Ed Mcclaskey's except that is is made of welded iron all the way (including the gate and the roof in the middle) to last for a lifetime...

The roof is made of local material that can be bought all over the island. Cogon or what they call "pinaod" in Pangasinan & La Union.

Yes we use fish net for enclosure since it does not absorb heat as much like regular metal screens...

The blocks are both for height and to retain the combination of mountain soil and sand that was put on each pen...

    Hope it helps!

Yes very good sir. I was wondering how do you fasten your net to the Iron? Also did you weld your pens or are you using wire to connect the iron?

    It's all welded...

including the hinge that holds the gate or the door of the pen.

The net is tied to a bamboo stick and you will see it if you look closer all around the sides of the pen that I have attached.

There are professionals net makers and installers who can put it together and you'll be surprised how easy it was.

    Thanks!

your conditioning pen it does work in short knife. it doesnt work in long knife specially in PI.

try to imagine, you have keep it in a short pen.the fowl will not be able to fly all the day until fight day.we are expecting your fowl is good on the ground.

but if you fight them in long knife, you have a small percentage to win because they are not used to fly high or to break high to hit the opponent .

I am absolutely agree in short knife. not in long knife

    pen 7x3x3

we've been using that method of training for a long time.but we use domes.not only it benifits the roosters but it's a good way of preventing thives from stealing ur chicken.just try and take a chicken out of that dome without a catch cock.as for the viagra.........it is proven! i gave my cock a whole tablet and it tore some pussy apart:lol:

Stinger, how long does the netting last for? Is there a certain grade of it like for the thickness? Example wire and the guage you can get them in 12 gauge 14 guage ect.. Also do you have the nets made by professionals at the factory or at your farm you have your hands make them to fit and install on your welded pens? I would be interested in getting some of these in the states if you could point me in a direction like what type of factory produce these. The cost of wire today is unreal and think this might be cost effective.

The net has been on the pen for a year

now and it should last longer than being submerge to saltwater. I did not buy the net so I let them decide the thickness to use...

The nets are made in the factory and was cut by the intaller to fit properly and installed in the welded pen.

If you are based here in the US, then you should be able to find these nets easily by going to the web and search for them.

Just go to Google and type "fishing nets" and you'll find a slew of those company that manufactures them.

It is common in the Philippines because of the fishing industry there.

Fo those who have tried using this Jumping/Running pen in PI Is there really beneficial effect to our roosters? Can you post any comment here (positive or negative) if this kind of Pen is really necessary to our roosters conditioning program OR scratch pen, fly pen & cording alone will be enough to do the trick...ty

Try this method and if you meet my bird, place your bets accordingly, You will be meeting a rooster who has been exercised this way all his life.... Ed Mcclaskey

Hey I think this is a great method Sir for our birds in training, I like it. I have a question, does it also helps them to do some scratching. Or you do scratching your own way? Reply as soon as possible...thanx . Good method by the way.

Also I seen the picture of your pen you were describing to us, it looks nice. So what do you cover around the pen cages or wood? And for the roof top is it all covered of wood or not all of it? Is it covered by cages? So what materials do you use to cover the whole pen with? Could you send me picture the pen that is fully completed, because I wanna start building it before the year ends. Thanx
