Any info on their fighting style ?
Any info on their fighting style ?
preng jlbs72........simbeck roundhead.........if i am not mistaken......and my memory serves me right..........that is a cross of frankie dee roundhead with george woods lacy roundhead.their body are not that solid.......but they are very fast, high breaking, awesome cutting, quick scoring type of roundheads.
try to contact anybody from tennessee here........they can give you more infos about that simbeck roundhead.my friend alan butler once said.........if you want good roundheads........try simbeck roundhead.........alan has frankie dee roundheads.he is crossing them to his rubles.and his hatch-roundhead are awesome.
Our first 2 fights in the last CF stag derby were simbeck RH crosses. They are multiple shufflers from air to ground.
may be George Cabrera will give us more INFO about this line, i think he is breeding this line i saw the pic in his gallery...
Joel,if i may add my 2 cents of opinion, Steve Simbeck's RHs,
are fast ,and high flying chickens...medium to medium high
station coz of 30 more than years of inbreeding ,i believe.I picked and leaned more on the frankie dee line coz they're more ANGAT they tend to fly higher than the GW line and ofcourse light colored feathering..GW line are little bit darker as far as feather color is concern but then again it all depend on buyers preference, steve
will be there to assist u and guide u.It doesn't matter whether
GW line or FD line..i think, both blood will give u the ronundhead fighting style u will probably need to infuse and keep...
joel..i know u have this line already.. goodluck and enjoy breeding them.. and put more W's on your winning record.
I own these Roundheads... they are very fast, very high breaking Roundheads. Most of the ones I've seen come lemon hackle and medium station. They are excellent LK birds... I got them from a close friend of mine who has bred and shown them for several years with quite a bit of luck. He has shown them in the gaff as well and they seem to be able to take a cutting -or at least this family we have can. The main reason I wanted them was to cross them on my Jumper Kelso. However, these are pretty good birds shown pure. Give ol' Steve a call. I think he will do you right.
We bought three trios off of Steve last November and after a year We are still totally satisfied. We purchased two trios of George Woods and one trio of Frankie Dees. The Frankie Dees in my opinion would definitely be better for the long knife.I'm crossing the george woods for the gaff and shortknife on Radio and sweaters.Steve is about as honest of a person as I have ever purchased from and would recommend Him to anyone.Lloyd McNew....(LaurelRiver)....I have some pics of the trios under user name LaurelRiver if you want to see some that came direct last year.
We got six stags last year from wildfoot, they were 1/2 FD 1/2 GW and all won. One of them is now a three time winner. We also took some Simbeck Clipper/Rh crosses and 2 out 2 wins so far this year. I prefer the darker ones as they are more multiple shufflers than the lighter ones that are high breakers.
The Simbeck roundheads that I got were identical to the ones that felisa and Cedreq have posted before in their galleries.
They have same color plumage as the Sweaters, white legs, nice round shoulders, tightly feathered with red eyes.
We acquired this line to blend with our Asils. If our game plan works out, we are hoping to improve the speed and power of our Asils.
We are still on the process of producing straight breed Simbecks for the broodpens.
Last year, an unintentional mating of Simbeck rh and Jumper Kelso were made and the stags look promising. We can't wait to pit test them.
Thanks to Spangle for facilitating that acquisition.
Good luck with your breeding......Joel.

In march07 i bought 2 stags and 2 pullets from steve simbeck. ng dumating cla s farm spar kgad nmin cla ang 2 stags (excited kc ko) very impressed ko eventhough pagod cla ang lalakas pumalo at sobrang bilis khit wla s posisyong ang manok papalo at very accurate ang patama nila.
They have the most highest winning percentage on my farm i have crossed them with my dinkfair 5k lines.
Steve Simbeck is very good guy he even replaced the pullet that have died for FREE (2 weeks after it arrived at our farm). When i called him he just told me that i have to pay the shipping simple as that.
Im now inquiring again with steve simbeck coz im planning to get 2 more pullet from him.
Im also planning to mate my F1 Gary Gilliam Rh pullets with my Simbeck Rh Broodcock. The gilliam rh will give the vertical lift while the simbeck will give the feet and speed. hope to do good with them.
magtanong lang, magkano po ang young trio ng simbeck roundhead?
