No the de carlo greys as was told to me are regular greys. They are extremely good cutters and accurate... in my experience they do lack some bottom. But that's an easy fix lol. Good luck.

That Grey/Kwill belongs to Krackers Koop.Gary breed good looking and solid birds. His Greys if i am not mistaken are the Clement type and he also breed the Docs.
Del Carlo Greys are from Ohatchee of Alexandria Alabama(Jerry Ellard).Isn't it Jerry's Greys were part Bennet/East Sr?I maybe wrong:/)

    Gift from Krackers Koop...Grey/Kwill.

Nice! About what makes the de carlo greys, I would not know. But one thing is for sure they have been good to me.

Yes that's what Del told us my brother got one of those Mug/Grey Manziel blooded brood cocks this year he is really nice and crossed him on the pullets we raised off the original brood stuff from Del he has a bunch of little black grey looking diddles running around. What I see from that cock is he is really strong compared to the other Mugs he raised .Id say it would be a good cross for you. yfis

I have a question in a leagal state would this be a lk cock? He has really long legs. In short heel country. Usually a tired cock will get in close. Those long legz dont work up close. Unless he is smart and can stay away.
I will give him a 9. Legs are under his chest. He stands fairly straight. Nice small head with red face well done. I would like to see him up north. Hes a gem

    Re: redquill cross

Red Quills are brown reds. A long time ago Eslins had a strain of brown red fowl known as Red Horses that were top of the line pit fowl. As time went on they began lacking something don't remember maybe it was bottom due to inbreeding or maybe it was speed so they felt it was time for an infusion to correct the problem. They chose a ginger red colored strain of fowl called Wynan Red Quill [probably not spelled right]. Anyway they made the cross and the 1/2 Quill 1/2 Red Horse was no good and that breeding was never repeated, but the 3/4 Red Horse 1/4 Red Quill were great. This became the famous Eslin Red Quill. The Wynan Red Quill doesn't exist any more. The Eslin Red Quill was crossed again to the Red Horse and produced the Black and Tans also great 7/8 Red Horse 1/8 Red Quill. The Herrisford Brown Reds were also Red Horses. Joe Redmond Greys carry a 1/4 Eslin Red Quill blood. Red Quills range in color from brown red, ginger, ginger with mottled breast and every once in a while you may get a pumpkin. Hope this helps OHOOPEE

No. Krackerskoop was the master breeder:-).He does not breed towards numbers but man, he has attention to detail.
