There was no Dom or Ginger bred into the Albanys. There was Henny bred into them , for sure. Also never saw any color legs except yellow. The Albanys my old friend got from the original Pine Albanys Cecil Jones brought from New York were all YL. My friend Bro/Sis mated them twice, back to back and some of the cocks started coming punkin-gold with lots of white in wings and tail and snow white under their hackles. Others were red or white/red spangled.

When did the Brassbacks start to pop up ? Was it when the Stryker WH was bred into them? Do you know if the Pines were set as a strain at 1/2 Stryker Whitehackle or if the pullets from that mating were bred back to the Stryker cock making them 3/4 then set as strain etc?
It was not Mahoney fowl but was Mahogany fowl. They were Jim Thompson Whitehackles that were fought around New York by the Hardy bros. This blood also went into the Sanford Hatch foundation fowl. Albanys also had a sizable amount of Claret blood in them.
