very strong puncher. aggressive high flying-salto. perfect broodcock for crossing to sweaters. however i am referring to blackwater gilmores only because it is the broodstocks we had.

    Re: Gilmore Hatch

I think, its orginated from McLean blood.

I would still choose McLean for crossbreeding or infusion instead of using Gilmore, coz Gilmores don't fight like a Hatch. I don't know, but it lacks something that a true hatch line should have.

Gilmore Hatch = 3/4 Browred - 1/4 GLH, based in some reading.

Many people say or think that real Gilmore is as like this picture.

thats not the usa gilmore by no means..........the gilmore here in the usa are a dark red hatch, but like earlier said do not fight like no hatch the are a little quicker hit a little lighter cut a little better and don't have that drop on ur back hard hitting shuffle like the traditional hatch

but its good blood none the less

Plenty but not of this particular hatch hen. Just go to the webpage of my avatar.

    Kogmohon,

Gilmores are really blonde so they don't much feathers.

Ok there seems to be some inconsistancy with the make up of this line. Does anyone know?

Originated by Lam Gilmore out of stocks coming from Ted Mclean. First time I heard that they carry Brownred stuff. I heard they are interrelated to Frank Steele Hatch blood. They are awesome, in fact too complete a fighter for a Hatch. Saw some pure Gilmores here in the hands of some big time breeders, from what i've seen, can be fought as pures. They break high, no let-up on the ground, head back, with very good timing. And they seem to be the catalyst , to most Sweater breeders.
