Re: The Hennies used in CANDELARIA

    Cromon,

    Thank you very much!

First of all these hennies are not mine..My good friend Banjo Hinlo (DVH son) owns them.. I took them from his farm last May 2006 to prepare them for the upcoming 2007 Candelaria 7-Cock Derby.. He told me that the Dad of these hennies is a 5X winner he got from his friend and crossed him to his Dad's (DVH) kelso hens/pullets..

I tried to breed the first batch of hennies that I got from him to my hens/pullets but unfortunately I didn't get even one hennie from my matings

boss maning....am just curious as to where banjo hinlo got his 5x hennies...was it from edwin ditching of victorias? we called up edwin and inquired about his hennies, also mentioned to him that banjo's hennies was one of the champ in the candelaria derby and he claimed that indeed banjo was able to breed some of his hennies. am i right boss maning? or did banjo hinlo got his hennies from other source.....thanks and hoping to get a reply from you.

Well,it seems like the hennies are coming to reign the pits.First in WSC,now in Candelaria.Could be the next bloodline to reckon with after the sweaters? The records show.Goodluck Maning to your breeding. They may not look like hennies but sure they got their blood that can win.

i am not more of a hennie guy but no offense guys i just dont like 'em.

if what you breed and fight is a reflection or an extension of the owners personality and character it wouldn't look good for me. Hennies win is based on treachery and deciet, which doesn't really impress me.

as my uncle would say...'it's like raising a drag queen'(excuse my french).

just my view on the matter, but i do borrow one from a friend to spar with my stags for familiarity purposes only.

We don't care if you were impressed or not with our Hennies. The bottom line is we took the championship. This year event was participated by 182 strong (foreign and local) entries.

You could try your macho looking roosters in the Candelaria 7-Cock Derby next year, who knows you might be able to surpass their feat. Goodluck!!!

Re: The Hennies used in CANDELARIA

hehehehe...lady J...u are in this thread swimming upstream...everybody in here loves henny...if u dislike them...make another thread ..i think many will support u...

there are differnt kinds of cockers..some likes greys some dont..
some like asil some dont...some likes mestiso...some dont...lets just respect that...

if ur so vocal about it...u can let ur chickens do the talk...

hennies? i like them...some are good ...some are bad..just like any roosters...
but i dont think just because they look like one...they are cheating...

i got an amusing story of them...hehehe..when i corded my hennies...near to each other...they are swaying/dancing(birig) to each other...i laugh...coz...deep inside in them...they dont see themselves as a hen...but as macho cock as well....hehehehe

    more power to off colors!

    thanks,

I'm kind of impressed with your comments about our hennies. I thought you have the macho looking birds to compete in the 2008 Candelaria 7- Cock Derby. But, just buying Stags and pullets now? You still have a lot of time to learn, Kid

Re: The Hennies used in CANDELARIA

    Maning,
Pre no wonder they bagged the championship. By merely looking at their built, the balance is there and the strength of a YLH. Very awesome body conformation. Moreso, is what Lady J mentioned which I would consider as advantages. I'd consider breeding as an art. It would take ages for us newbies in the field of breeding to come up with an exceptional winning line. But whether we like it or not hennie has now caught the attention of sabong world. Last year, hennies won the WSC and this time the Candelaria.

If I were you BIG BOYS, I'd start buying hennies so as to familiarize your machos in fighting against them. Or, consider them as the breed to compliment your sweaters, cowans and etc.
