If All US Breeders settle down in P.I., good or bad to local breeders

Hello! As we all know about the present situation in US as new law is on the floor for approval of the legislatures thus banning traveling inter-state with fightingcocks, attending cockfights, possesing instruments used for fightingcocks and sending fowls to other countries. As a result US bigtime and medium breeders will ultimately send thier broodseeds to Philippines and eventaully these US breeders will settle down here in our country. Do you think this is good news to our Local Breeders??????????and to cocking world in Philippines??????

GOOD!!! The more the Merrier!!!! Mas mag-iimprove ang mga bloodlines, mas malalaman kung sino ang magaling, mas darami ang kaalaman... and in the end ang mag bebenefit ay yung mga small time cocker na tulad ko.

Magpatayo na rin sila ng sariling sambungan! Gaff, short & long knife that will be nice to watch. So hatches lover will be competitive!

I don't think you have to worry about all of them moving to the PI.........the majority will probably move to a closer Mexico or simply give up the sport for good.

Some of my American cocker friends have already setup satellite operations in Mexico with friends there.

A few guys like me prefer the Philippines, even though I speak Spanish fluently....Can't put my finger on it, I just like the people, food and culture of the Philippines...even though I have been to Mexico many times and its a beautiful contry too. But then again I am not a bigtime famous American cocker either so using me for an example would be stupid!

Even if a couple hundred guys move to the Philippines they won't have that great of an impact. You guys simply have so many cockpits and fights that a few hundred foreign breeders would be a drop in the bucket IMHO!

    Regards,

Good day to our friends in sport.

Our American friends will be much welcomed in the Philippines if they wish to migrate.

As far as breeding and fighting is concerned, I believe there will not be much impact to the local breeders. Since the type of fight, weather/climate, conditioning and others is very different from what they are used to.

It will take a minimum of two to three years learning period before they get used to the situation in the Philippines. And by that time, Filipino breeders maybe way ahead, unless someone will help them out.

Though the good thing is the competion will become tougher and exciting. Those who will not upgrade will be left behind.

    I think its good.
It will be more cheaper to buy
and it will not cost arms and legs when it comes to shipping price.

    my 2 cents.

The only problem I'd see once this turn of event happens is that we'd have no more imported fowls to brag about. Every fowls we'd have would be called local..

IF somehow i would be selfish and out of character ..i would say yes..make cockfighting in the US a felony...in that sense the american breeders would be from coming on all directions heading towards south and to the far east....that would mean mexicans and filipinos will not be importing the birds...they would be right at our doorsteps and they would be doing the sales talk

but I am of course not like that .

I think it is more better, "just like open market economy" the prices of commodities will go down and competition will be of high standard quality and as a result more and better quaility of bloodlines will be developed in our sabong industry and of course lots of tourists from US and Mexico will come and attend our big time derbies.

Let's hope they don't meet my fowl in any cockpit. It would be a shame if they get whipped by my mestiso/tinola lines (lol). Kidding aside, local fowls are as good as US Breeder's fowl by now. Bigtime breeders were not fooling around when they purchased years ago prior the scenario of banning cockfighting in U.S., so, my tinola lines are as good as uncle sam's KFC lines

BADE for them they have to learn how to speak Tagalog, Visaya and others dialect first, just like us here in the US trying to learn their english.
