When my uncle was fighting them they came Lemon hackle (sweater looking) not wine color like this one. The fosters I see now look like this one but they don't perform like the lemon hackle ones did back in the day. My uncle stopped buying from him when he went to jail I think they had a disagrement. His birds did change color though maybe thats why he stopped importing from him. Something was fishy there. Don't know but his lemon hackles were awesome.

    Crooked Toe,
You are right, until now he carried those outstanding lemon hackle Kelso. When he won the Mid-American championship, he used two lemon hackle Kelso and ten W/L and Y/L Wine Red Kelso. I hope this helps...

I have talked to Mr. George Foster and got a trio from him. He said that his Kelso's does not
have any roundhead line. Because they were bred for mexican gaffs. Most mexican dont want roundhead lines due to lack of aggressiveness.

recently, Ferdie Farenas of Triple F Farm directly acquired George Foster kelso. Maybe he can give us feedback on his experience with this cock.
