i had a bad luck with rubble hatch blue legs before, too aggressive not game enough, likes to play face to face in buckles and a good shuffler but i think it had some defects in breeding not mine so what i did its good for crossing. its not early maturing good to fight in 2 yrs.

oh Billy... nice hatch(basically i think they are blueface hatches,yes?)... we bred this hatch family for a while but it became stale and hesistant without good cause(don't get me wrong they are still game,,,but losing badly though )..went back to the broodcock(multi-winner blue legged) and infused another hatch family, the McCleans, and remarkable improvements were noted. the offsprings were smarter, lessen the billhold madness, they were better shufflers and gained more power...even witnessed an opposing stag died on sparring..yes,true.

if my gloooming memory serves me right...we then bred them blue legged once to the green legged ones(sis-bro)..alll came out green legged except some hens, and lost the features of the grandpa broodcock.from there green legged hatches were infused with the bluefaces, yellow legged hatches,gilmores...and now probably the gavilan crosses..hope to get some perrys and leipers..budget allowing-praying hard .

i wish i can afford to go to 'hatch village' in the US soon..it'll be like a graceland for me...but it'll be euphoria to visit Cirlce L gamefarm anytime soon.

those hatches never run out of style,so to speak.

joey said they are still winning with crosses in candelaria,
and biboy enriquez, with his crosses, are still using them in big events

have you acquired some of these hatches?

i know what most people are thinking when a sweater looking rooster is pitted against the hatches, betting odds/calls shift in favor of the lighter fowl..have you noitced?the crowds are in for a big surprise..hehe

    i have different hatch families
    from different breeders from states
i want to acquire high action hatch broodpullets
    from circle L gamefarm
to mate to my existing hatch lines

i really like the bitter gameness
and powerful strokes of a good hatch
    i consider them
    as the "BEAST"
    among different gamefowl bloodlines

    yes sir.
It is their gameness that really rooted me deep into this sport. the do or die attitude which I'm trying to live by. carpa diem!! ..which is kinda hard to reconcile with my oath "primum non nocere" ..hehe

I tried other breeds but I always lean towards the 'Beast'..

My pleasure to know your likes sir.

bourne out of unforeseen(other hatch family)infussion.. parent broodstocks are reds>>hatch greys 8 month old...looks like our milkman..hmmm smell somethin fishy...hihi...blue legged and will be used when bullstag.heard they fight better at this age---we gave away some blue legged hatches to our friends .. me dad didn't like the winning odds when fought as stags.nice to have good friends around they do the trials for you..for free.

    Re: ruble hatch

    murdoc,

im still using a ruble, the one mr billy use the ruble toppy from mr.aldequer w/c came from billy himself .....to fight him as is wont work in todays competition for they come out med to low in station, but crossing it to a roundhead like boston and a kelso would do the trick.......question of its gameness depends if it is authentic or not, 5champon in 3cock derby and 2 insurance is not bad for a ruble toppy record.....this hatch blood is still in the game but needs to be blend with other strain to be competitive.......

here is my ruble toppy hen:

    Re: ruble hatch

5 1/2 year old RUBLE HATCH broodcock.....still in may yard, stand-by for next breeding season.......the toppy feathers on his head are all gone as he age, i was told b4 that this ruble are fought by the araneta with no feathers on their head bcz they dont want others to know that it has a toppy blood on it, like what cong.umpong plaza did with his chicken.....

i was also once told that the original ruble fought by billy ruble here in P.I. is a ruble toppy, if none from the offspring came out with a toppy, then its a heavy breed to another blood line......

    Cool Re: ruble hatch

murdoc, my rubles are game to the bone.I show them mostley pure.Ihave crossed them if I had something that was not game enough, but,I like mine pure.No matter what people say ,I have 2 different kinds of ruble. One is light, one is dark.I prefer the dark, but both are very good fowl.

    Re: ruble hatch

it is true that rubbles is a do or die game. when i was breeding, my mother always get the eggs from the nest for cooking. so i breed a kaber 5 hens and 1 rooster for egg consumption. but when the rooster kaber gets older he became more wild that he wants to attack my fighting cocks. when he gets out of the fence, he fights with stag rubbles hatch. what a mess, the stag died by his own strenght and eagerness to fight. his body is shaking. i fought the kaber in a tukis fight and it won 2 times with a pure breed small fowls. it will accept any blades to his body but it cannot reach to the organs. although he cannot hit in respond, his knife hits on the sand and had some dificulty in pulling out. it only takes one time to hit the other bec. i put a bigger knife.

    Re: ruble hatch

I have my ruble hatch as my baseblood for crossing to other bloodline. The original broodstock i bought directly from Mr. Eddie Araneta of Liza Galore farm in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan. They are very game to the core...a good base blood. Please see some pix in my website:
