    OEG Doms

    BatangenoSaLA,

The OEG doms and Gingers are two different Strains. The doms are "bulik" whilst the Gingers are "malatuba". Be carefull with OEG's as some of them were not bred for competition, just shows. The best OEG doms for competition that I've come across were bred by Ralph Bermann. He is now 84 yrs old and two yrs ago he sold the last 17 trios. I bought two but have not bred them pure, I crossed them with Billy Rubles Toppies. If you are in the States a guy called Warren Booker is a good friend of Ralph, he may have this strain. Try and get the wineglass line. His contact #662-842-8369. I am not recommending these birds, but if you want them call these guys. In the P.I you can try Emil Garnica, he is o'seas right now but in two months time you can call him on 09179917273. This guy and Mang Jess breed OEG doms. These birds are good cutters and are multiple shufflers but dont have bottom. They will not be suitable for the knife in my opinion.

The Gingers are the same blood that Duke Hulsey and Roy Bingham bred. Try Larry Carter, I am not sure if he still breeds. I got mine from John Devine who still has a few but I dont think he sells. Good knife chickens.

    Doms?

No question the Sierra's of Cebu have the best Doms in the Philippines at this time.......speed....good cutting....they have what it takes to win!PM Victor or Santi Sierra if you need some more info.
It just happened that i was able to see some of their fowls fight in Bacold more than a year ago and their Cebu fowls had convincing wins against formidable Bacolod bred chickens.A win shy to win the championship trophy.
Try them and you can never go wrong!

2 weeks in succession there were 2 breeders in Dipolog that breed Doms... both Dom line originated from Capt. de Sagon and you know how good they are during the 80s.

    Thumbs up oeg

just wondering kung kelan na acquyire ni wildfoot iyong oeg dom niya. kasi sang-ayon sa nabasa ko ang oeg ay show birds na lang since cockfighting was banned in england. could it be na remnants iyon ng oeg na itinago ng may-ari before the cockfighting ban? if that is so, it was ages ago.

    OEG

    Hennie,

Sanay naka liwanag itong aking saysay.

    Thumbs up para kaywildfoot

i believe what u said about the origin of the oeg. kahit nga iyong show kind na oeg ay napakatikas ng tayo. may nakita ako sa internet na hatchery sa u.s. nagbebenta sila ng day old oeg chick at 7 dollars each. sa tingin ko mahal dahil sa mcmurray hatchery sa idaho, one dollar plus lang ang isa. well, just want to share what i have found.

    thanks for answering me.

    splash

    Hennie,

    Broodfowl/Panglahi=.......................Offsprings/Anak

    Abohin mated to Abohin = 25%Black Reds 25%splash 50%Abohin

Abohin mated to Splash = 50% Abohin 50% Splash

Abohin mated to Black red = 50% Abohin 50 Black red, no Splash

Black red mated to Splash = 100% Blue, No splash

Splash to Splash = 100% Splash

Doms could probably came from jungle greys (gallus sonnerati), a jungle fowl accidentally mated a pheasant bird on the jungle.

It could be funny but it's just my wild guess...they belong anyway to both avian family.

i ask myself once where could be these easter eggs came from, was it from a bird or chicken? the eggs look like birds egg (some spotted, some have different color) but the size looks like as big as chicken eggs. .

keep on searching the truth will set you free on your question.

the most favorite are the chappell doms coz they believe that chappell infuse some sweater blood in them.

a chappelbluebarredrockdom x sweater now known to other as englishdom (lemonhackledred, having a gilmore looking or sometimes claret looking tail) or irishdom (whitehackled and whitetailed claret looking tail or more whites can ba seen on feathers.).

The history of DOMs was started by Dominique then lots of breeders followed his breed and created a different bloodline name as Doms make it WIN on pit.

My experience of breeding my englishdom is that both male and female help together on making a nest....and if ever the hen who is hatching the eggs feels hungry she makes a call to his partner male and so the male will take the place of the hen and the male will be the one hatching the egg for the meantime...just like pigeons they help one another in hatching the eggs. .
