He has typewriter blues, dark and golden hackle hatches, frost greys, and marsh butchers. Good honest roosters. Big birds and very game. Cross them to speed fowl and you'll have some very good roosters.

the typewriter, are blues, they were famous some time ago, in the 1940's I think, Sr. Ed Cavazos die last year I think, the one running the farm is Jr. Ed. Cavazos, they still have good fowl, Sr. use to sell a lot of grey/butcher crosses to hawaii, and if your looking for good s/k fowl the goldenhackle hatch crosses are excellent.

    Re: Ed "boggie" Cavous

My partner's uncle had the Blues and they were good roosters, although the few times I saw them show they didn't fair well. They stopped breeding them and either sold or someother way lost the blood. My partner said that a big reason they discontinued them was because they were huge roosters and a great deal of them would not enter derbies as they exceeded the weight limits (shakes). Sounded like bull$%& to me but that's what he said. We got the golden hackles and they are a solid base bloodline. My personal favorite for sure.
