I remember this entry, they came down for the Championship I think it was? The first day they were showing black chickens. As impressive of black chickens I have ever seen. I knew they drove the chickens down from cali, and a lot of people were talking about them

I taked to Rick about his particular derby. He said they lost their championship fight because someone turned off the cock house light and the bird fell asleep. Of course did not show and thats how they lost their money fight. His blacks are quality birds.

the pure mcraes are very consistent in topping (very smart and fast) their opponents with some shuffling in the bottom, but when cross to hatches (hatch-mcraes his ideal cross) they tend to do more multiple shuffling and more offensive. His blacks weigh about 4-7 to 5-2 and medium to high station.

i guess this is why oscar akins used to use his r.v. for his cockhouse. i have even heard of guys that used to spray stuff in others cockhouses.

RB doesn't ship... To many issues. Also his blacks are A-1 and probably as close to the real deal Mcrae's that are still pure out there.

I just talked to billy freeman saturday and he told me some guy went to his house and bought everything he only has his brood fowl left. His black mcrea's are no joke but he said he'll be breeding this year again. they even bought all his battle crosses.

Re: Freeman Blacks
I talked to Bill and he told me that the birds he fought where his and the blacks aswell were breed by him. That there is a confusion people think that they aquired his from Mr. Beil But in fact they both bought from the same breeder.who used to rent to Bill. Thanks
