it depends on what type of aircraft that is being used...some of them has no pressurized cargo compartment for live animals...the last time i entered the ngba derby my roosters went to manila from cebu to catch the right aircraft to bacolod...the derby management were good enough to allow me to change stag for my first fight...

No. PAL and CEBUPAC doesn't allow that anymore since they are now using smaller planes.

I shipped a couple of Stags last year (Oct) to Cebu via CebuPac & they told me to go to cargo. The stags have to travel from BCD to Manila then Cebu. Don't know why they have to travel all the way to MNL. That was very stressfull for my stags. Imagine, I sent the stags around 9am and they arrived in Cebu at 5pm (it's like going to work the whole day). At least they were still alive and kickin' when they got there, .

because there is no direct flight for PAL and CEBU PAC from BCD to CBU.. everything goes connecting flight same as BOHOL and DAVAO
    such a hassle and expensive

Road trip them in an aircon van.

I roadtrip my fowl to Cebu and Bacolod from Dumaguete, there are car ferries from Negros to Cebu.

    Cheers

I'm not sure this is relevant as I am coming from the south.
From Davao AirPhil and CebuPacific stops in Cebu for their Iloilo flights, I am not sure if this route is still up and running you might wanna check with the airlines(this route was influenced by Boracay holidaymakers), these planes can carry birds. I have experience in this route(approx. 3x), especially the bigger planes bound for Hongkong that picks up passengers in Cebu before an onward flight. You might just have to transport them from Iloilo to Bacolod overland...and I'm sure people over there are quite experts of caring for transit birds.

The most difficult route I have tried was from Cebu to the Bicol region. Imagine all the way up to Manila then transport them overland back down. If you shipped a bird from Cali to Manila then to Davao on the same day, your birds would probably arrived first than mine.
