    Re: chochalate albany

Charlie Johnson of rolling hills game farm has some of the best albanys around. He won some of the biggest derbys at the bayou club with them. I've seen them rattled to death and come back an hour later to win the fight in the gaff. This is where I purchased mine from and I am very pleased with them. I use them as my base blood to put power and deep gameness into all of my blood

I am not 100% sure of this, since we've maintained this line for over 20 years, and the history of these birds has been fogged up durring the years, but this bird looks similar to an albany. I'm not sure if it is one of these "chocolate albany" but I am sure about his performance, and his capabilities as a brood cock.

A friend of mine has the old Pinon YLH for decades now and I can't help but notice the
similarity of your Albany (especially that picture you posted in post #5) to his old Pinon YLH. Maybe there is truth to the
story that Pinon's partner, being a breeder of excellent Albany, has infused
his Albany's to create the Pinon YLH or is the Pinon YLH simply an Albany in disguise ?

I live about 1hr away from glenn justices farm, cockers around here tired to get some brood fowl but every time they would pick something he would over look it and throw them out ,now I understand that maybe some of it was his brood fowl but he only wanted to sell what he wanted. Them guys were paying 500 to athousand per animal so they should have gotten decent fowl. Ill tell if you go there pick what you want and don't part from them, espcailly the ones thaT have tattos under their wings ...I not saying his is not fair but when you're paying good money anyone should get good fowl. .... good luck

You're absolutely right about that. I called him and asked how much an Albany pullet would cost and he told me $250.

As long as the Almighty permitted intelligent men, created in his image and likeness, to fight in public and kill each other while the world looks on approvingly, its not for me to deprive the chickens of the same privilege.
