I have the blackwater line with an infusion of the dink line a couple of years ago. They look good. I cross them to my Blue Fever Hens with great results.

these are the old line sweaters and they can turn on the fan. They also have good station, red eyes and bone structure.

    Re: Sweaters

Don't forget where the original line came from before Mr.Carol NeSmith added new blood.
The originator of this strain was Mr.Sonny Ware from Forestdale, Alabama and sold a trio to Mr.Odis Chapell.
Mr.Odis sold a young trio to Carol NeSmith, Newton Wade, and George Lay.....

Carol Nesmith is responsible for the popularity of sweaters...credit should go to him...He fought his sweater at WSC and won championship. The rest of the sweater breeder is reaping because of Carol success...

Carol is the man...he's proven himself at the WSC and the sunset cocker of the year both in the gaff and in the long knife in the same year (1999 if i'm not mistaken)

    Re: Sweaters

I have never bred sweaters, spent most of time on my roundheads, greys and kelsos. Just when the sweater fever is starting to fade.... This year I decided to breed sweaters. And Im breeding Dink. hope it works out, quite and investment too but if it doesnt I will always have my roundheads and kelsos infused with greys to keep me going.

    Re: Sweaters

S' we are very admired with this imported breeder we have here in the Phillipines that produce very good sweater if you try the Abello sweater i would say they were not far fom carol and dink sweater. Hes sweaterwas originated from blackwater. Last July 2010 he was able to showcase his breed during the sabong nation boracay challenge all star, solo champion for 4 cocks. They fight really good.

    Re: Sweaters

Sweaters become famous in the Philippines thru Carol Nesmith in partnership with Nene Abello. His Possum Sweaters was the best were the $5000 line came.
