That's sounds good cross my friend. You can't really tell or figure the outcome already with just match8ng the your chicken. You must have to experiment and test them to find the result. Best of luck sir Hope more wins for you.

That straight combed/pumpkin colored bird seemed far better to me. He was thumping.

The only breeder of those mentions is Rafael Bazan. Who used to be one of the tops, but he has not won anything in the last 6-7 years here. He uses to much of americans so his size of animal is really really smal nowadays...
Curi is just a brooker, Valderrama nor Zenteno never heard of them.

Hello there Mr. PeruvianSlasher, I am not from Peru but, you are exactly right that the chickens(animals-you said) that you see posted here does not meet the standards of your Peruvian Fowls. I take it though that you don't understand why they don't meet your Peruvian standards, so here is why. They are talking about "Peruvian GRADES" in this thread and not Pure or Straight Peruvian Slasher Fowls. Hope this will help a bit in your "amazement".

Looks like Mr. Rafael Bazan went crazy in the last 6-7 years using Peruvian Grades which are of course smaller in size against those mighty big Peruvian Slashers. He should do justice to his Grades and bring them to the Philippines where roosters are matched equally by a weighing scale. He will be fighting the "animals" you see posted in here.

    Re: Peruvian grade update??

Peruvian chickens are not a breed...we come from the Asil, the old English, Spaniard and in the last 15-20 years been using americans. We do like the size of our animals and as you know we match them blind, without weight them before or anything like that. My "amazement" comes more because unless in Phillipines start fighting without the weight these big Peruvian chickens are no better than using pure breeds to improve. On top of that, and like i pointed out in the other post to Phillipines are being sold a lot of chickens from people who are not breeders and have a really really lousy game (like Juan Valqui)....and not forgetting to mention we are facing a cutting problem and for that reason is that we are using more american to our game...so in the pits the size of chickens is being notorious getting smaller. But despite of that at the end of the year the people who wins tournaments are the ones with big chickens, cause with our big knive the smallest cut and americanos died quickly. Cheers

Just to clarify...we are talking about Peruvian Slasher Gamefowls here, right? Why do you say that they are not a breed? American Game fowls are also made out of many crosses. Does it mean then that they are not also a breed? By the way, a "breed" to me means gamefowls of different bloodlines. And just like American Gamefowls of many bloodlines, I'm understanding that Peruvian gamefowls are also of different bloodlines. Am I right in my understanding about your Peruvian Gamefowls? Thanks
