Under 3lbs.?? Good Luck. Its very hard to get a bird under 3.6 matched these days... You will not find any real Cubans that Cock out under 3lbs. Unless they are really inbred...

Re: postiza fowl
A Conditioned Postiza bird weights are from 3.4 to 3.14 anything under or over those weights would be hard to get matched . With 4.lbs and over you would be matching in to Pavas (Oriental Grades) and anything under 3.4lbs you would be hard pressed to find someone at the pits to match that weight unless you are willing to give up some weight at the scales..

I have a few that are very small. They will be used to cross for small bird shows. I was just wondering if you ever came up with unusually small pure birds.

Re: postiza fowl
Yes I get some small ones from 3rd or 4th generation line bred matings, But they are Culled unless they are very good and then they are only used to outcroos from within my own flock, then I dispose of them..

Re: postiza fowl
Are natural spurs sharp or blunted and do they use gloves or tape and has anybody ever really tried pure american against pure orientals in both shows or the grades or is it just assumed that becuz they are polar opposites when pure that they cant go pure cuz i personally would like to do some natural heel with pure americans and grades and id like to fight two pure asils in gaff and knife just to see the outcome and then fight mixed between pure asil and pure americans in all the shows and id like to see the spanish birds in that mix too i think we might all be surprised to see that it wasnt as one sided as we thought itd be and then again ive been wrong before but id still love to see the show

Re: postiza fowl
Friend: Sharp natural spurs in naked heel.. Why reinvent the Wheel?? Breed for the heel you show in. To be honest with you. American breeds can not take the constant head shots that are played in the Postiza, And With that being said, The Postiza Birds cant take the constant Body shots that are played in the Gaffs and Knives. Thus my comment of " breed for the heel you show in" and Don't try to reinvent the Wheel.. Hope you understand what I am trying to say..
