it is common when you give up a certain line in your yard, the perception is it is not as good as it is. but mostly in this matter, its marketing that is the effect.

for those who follow the man, MS
we all know how his fowls deliver the goods..

ghetto g: yeah those who loose on fights, most of the opponents are in their last breathe as well =) agree bro. it still amazes me, during selection - you spar them and some buckle mid consistent with accurate cutting. then all of the sudden during the fight,
it will just buckle higher than expected and does things positively that will leave you scratching your head. things during selection spar he did not do. i still like his cautious stance all the time... cheers!
I agree that marketing white and yellow legs, lemon hackles are more in the demand. I see why it is like that. Naturally for some reason white and yellow legged chickens percentage wise have a better chance of killing blacks and hatches if trained right. Blacks and hatches are ussually just your machine gunners on the ground (very aggresive). Thats why i cross my harold brown clarets (white leg) to my Hatch black sims. They got air good brains and the machine gun feet to go with it. The choice of birds that i see on guam are blacks and hatches. You see sweaters and lemons but dark fowl is what you see much of on guams big derbies. I honestly did give up fighting sims black fowl. But i see when you cross them to lighter fowl (better birds). I dont know if you notice this but almost every farm in the U.S. claims to have sweater. I think that is the marketing and the influecne that comes from the P.I. Dont get me wrong though i like the sweaters i just started crossing them to my sims blacks. I know this is somthing that has been done in other peoples yards but i guess i want to try it for myself....cheers and hope you have a winning season..AND YA WANTED TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR SPARRING SESSIONS WICKED BIRDS MAN......

Thats what makes this sport so competitive. Comments like yours, but hey do you see that avatar picture on my profile. Well that mel sim black killed one of those lovely looking yellow legs the so called sweater with no cut. remember its how you train your fowl. Everyone has good birds. Cheers and hope you have a winning season.
