    My favorite are for sure the g. Gilliam rh they are very high breakers, smart fighters, and good cutters

    Lot of Roundheads will throw a straight comb once in a while. The Hugh Norman's will, Gilliam's will & so will mine.

    oh wow i never knew that but now I know..seeing so many pure roundheads with peacombs alot and never did see a pure straight comb b4.

    I'm not an export on roundheads but I've seen some roundheads with straight combs. They are called Cripple Toney if i recall.

    a budie of mine has a Jim Clem pair and he has gotten many straight comb, and yellow legs A LOT from that pair has straight and yellow legs... not one or two.. i would say 50 50 ... these are straight from Clem himself... any input Jim?

    Yes it is possible...especially if your breeding yellow to white legs. Just means your bloods caries some recessive gens. If you get greens prob will be on the pullet side. I got blues out of my yellow legged burner cock and white legged lacy hen this year. they we all pullets.

    criple tony round heads will come green leged and they do not carry hatch green legs were around long before the hatch came along brown reds and so on

    Now that's something i did not know... I knew the Cripple Tonys have been around a long time. But did not know they have been around that long. Especially longer then the Brown Reds.

    why do Cripple Tonys get white legs sometimes?... where does that gene come from?... i have an uncle who has some nice cripple tonys and he is freaking out cause he got green legs this season...

    The right pair bred together can produce many of each. Just depends on how tight they are bred & how they inherited. If you can get one, it is possible to get many because it takes both parent's to pass the recessive trait.

    Have him call me, I am interested to know how each was marked.

    I got more yellow legs last year & this year than ever before.

    yeah im sure you know more about them than we will ever do... funny thing is.. he bread the JC cock over a LAcy RH hen (gorgeous) bright white legged pea comb that had never thrown yellow or straight comb.. and even those off spring Most came yellow legged, straight comb. weird stuff. he freaked out on us for a while. ill have him call you.

    A recessive trait can only pass on if it is inherited by both parents. His Lacy hen has straight comb blood in her as well or there is no way a straight comb can be produced.
