    Windwalker Farm/Grandview,Texas

Windwalker Farm is owned and operated by Johnny Martin and sons Jesse and John. Windwalker has been in business for over 30 years and has tied the long knife or short knife and conditioned roosters for some of the greats in the industry such as Duke Hulsey, Jimmy East, Ken Hutchinson, Gavilan Club, Billy Abbott, Westbrooks, Mel Sims , Bobby Manzel, Joe Goode, Glenn Justice, Bobby Jones and too many others to mention individually. As a result of these personal relationships Windwalker was able to obtain brood stock from any of the before mentions . Windwalker has over the years had much success in breeding winners. Windwalker has won all the majors at least once or more including the Hawaiian (2 times) Copper State in Arizona, Sunset in Louisiana. The motto is "We do not try to raise the most but we do try to raise the BEST" this year we pinned 200 stags and 200 pullets , all coming from single mated pens. We raise reds, greys, and blacks. We are very proud of our greys which came to us through our friendship with Ken Hutchinson who inherited every feather from Jay Goode upon his death. All of our grey blood are direct descendants from Jay Goode. Our blacks and hatch are direct from Mel Sims . We do not sell any fowl intended for illegal purpsoes For more information contact Jesse or Johnny at jlmartin196954@yahoo.com

Hey, good to hear from you. I saw the other day where you were talking about the man in Texas that had hatch and blacks direct from Mel Sims. Well he is not the only one that has Mel Sims blood for blacks and hatch. I got my first blood from Mel in the late 70's when i was his neighbor in East Texas and just last season I got black hens and hatch hens to rejuevenate my blood. I don't know if you remember, but i fed and conditioned the rooster for Mel when he fought the Hawaiian and we were one fight out of the money (that was when eveything was legal) This season we hatched off 500 single mated babies. Jesse just completed making 200 new holding pens for the new stags. Good to hear from you, come see me or you can get my phone number at our e-mail. jlmartin198954@yahoo.com
