Bought a trio thru text messages in 2015, more than decent fowl (and a person) and no blue legs came out so far and don't think so.

I crossed his bonecrusher with my frost hen. The stags are coming out real nice.

I think it's the Bowen blood that made his yl older than jarrets.

I haven’t seen anything that can compete with the Gary Gilliam Round head they are elite in the LK. An honest question what can compete with them In the LK?

Personally not sure, but Id venture to say after reading his thread that the Slavin RH or his RH/Grey can.

Juan Romero, from Thunderbird Hatch, won a few years ago at the Juriquilla Derby. He used 3/4 hatch-1/4 Gary Gilliam Roundheads to win this major tournament. How do I Know ???, I gave him the hatch-rh pullets to cross with some hatch blood of his choice.

Larry Carter's Golden Grey and Pumpkin could fight circles around them

    Re: Gary Gilliam Roundhead

I guess we’ll see how they fare against them pumpkins and white golds. Got to spar some of my roundhead stags with a friend who has some hatch/pumpkins. Them Hatch pumpkins are no joke. But neither are these roundheads. Not sure if the pumpkins we got around here are carters. They been here along time. But the white golds round here are top notch. They ‘re originally from carter. If the golden greys were ever good. I didnt get to see much of it. Must be the guys out here who got em couldnt keep them competing. Seen a few win. Seen alot loose.
Funny how someone so far away can just about hit the nail on the head as to what was winning out here when legal.

    Re: Gary Gilliam Roundhead

The original Golden Grey were a Pumpkin/Golden over Grey .. they would fly 7' high and had reach/power galore . They were like chicken hawks coming after a meal when pitted . He bred them back to the Grey hens and those were good ... but there weren't set as a family and no telling how many ways the trios he sold were bred .

Most of the Pumpkins in Hawaii are related to Carter's ... those guys traded back and forth since way back . They fight bigger and have a deeper lick than any Roundhead is bred to have .

I recall seeing his adds, he would push his Pumpkins and Golden Greys but also had the Bates Greys, Kelso and I think maybe Hatch. He mentioned his Golden's winning in Oklahoma and elsewhere in LK, along with his Kelso's. So perhaps he crossed his Pumpkin to his Bates Grey and since he didnt set them as Q'Kid mentioned, prob have to get those and start from there if you want those hawk like traits that the original brought into the pit. I sure would have liked to have seen a main between these 2, Golden's and the GG Rh.
