I missed first powerful buckle of both so I will take a video again tomorrow.

    Re: Japs Japs Japs

    New Year `s question.

How much weight of these brothers ?
    They are almost same weight.

    info
father pure Yakido is 1.9 kg
mother black Shamo is 2.2 kg
in common weight of naked fighting shamo is more than 3.4 kg

Best guess guy will recieve 3/4 Yakido 1/4 shamo or 7/8 Yakido 1/8 Shamo pair which will be hatced from eggs I will bring this year or next year.
Just matter of confidence. hehehe trust me.

    japs fan

If you have a experience of bro-sis mating and a result ?
How about a inbreeding , back to hen side or male side for few generation ?

According to a story of Yakido , only one pure Yakido was left at that time then from that situation pure Yakido family was set by an effort of a old guy at local area in Japan.
    Is this possible ?

Hi Masao after 8 generations of backcrossing his female offspring WHILE SELECTING ONLY THE FEMALE with the same phenotype as the original cock you would get 99.8 percent of his "genes" MAX @ 511/512 RATIO.

However if we define pure as pure for that phenotype then we must assume that the original rooster was himself pure for all his phenotypical traits. So if he was peacombed he did not carry a gene for the straight comb. If he was green legged - there was no recessive gene of other leg colors etc etc.

Otherwise if he was a cross - we would have a purified strain of crosses. Some call it blends.

In another thread it was discussed that 20 generations of brother sister mating will generate a "pure" strain but I venture to add that it should also be with careful selection of the offspring to a single defined set of phenotype.

Oh well I guess if what we mean is that we get a family of fowl to breed uniform looks as japs I think yes bro-sis and line breeding should work as well as reciprocal recurrent selection as described in another thread.

The reason we have so many varieties of lemons is that the original was a cross and he was bred to many hens so there are as many strains as one can imagine that can be derived from him.

    Re: Japs Japs Japs

Hi Jebe , a lot of thanks for your input.

    >after 8 generations of backcrossing his female offspring WHILE SELECTING ONLY THE FEMALE with the same phenotype as the original cock you would get 99.8 percent of his "genes" MAX @ 511/512 RATIO.

Question is if this 511/512 become as exactly same as his or her Grand ancester through
    severe selection .

    >However if we define pure as pure for that phenotype then we must assume that the original rooster was himself pure for all his phenotypical traits. So if he was peacombed he did not carry a gene for the straight comb. If he was green legged - there was no recessive gene of other leg colors etc etc.

But that is a way of exibition , popular purist contest .

    >Otherwise if he was a cross - we would have a purified strain of crosses. Some call it blends.

I this case we do not mind if he is crossed or pure as we called.
    We copy himself.

    >In another thread it was discussed that 20 generations of brother sister mating will generate a "pure" strain but I venture to add that it should also be with careful selection of the offspring to a single defined set of phenotype.

If we talk about PURE , there are 2 meaning.
One is recognized by academic section.
Several Wild jungle chickens, many chicken families in Japan and other countries.
In Japan, these families are accepted as a natural treasure.
Another is chicken for industry purpose and for cockfight.
These families are created through crossing and set as familiy so I call them crossed chicken family.

    >Oh well I guess if what we mean is that we get a family of fowl to breed uniform looks as japs I think yes bro-sis and line breeding should work as well as reciprocal recurrent selection as described in another thread.

I agree but still we need a bit of luck in a process .

    >The reason we have so many varieties of lemons is that the original was a cross and he was bred to many hens so there are as many strains as one can imagine that can be derived from him.

YES !!!! When we talk about PURE in cockfight field we do not ask a perfect family , the pureblooded breed in an academic meaning

When I see a success of Yakido or Yakido/Shamo breeding I am a one to help you , japs fans here.

    Happy days !!

By the way for my asil pets I didn't do performance breeding before I just wanted the biggest ugliest meanest looking asil running around my yard. But both times I lost them when they flew over the fence.

Im still looking for the biggest ugliest meanest looking birds to be my pets :-) but this time ill cut their wings so they stay within my yard :-)

    Re: Japs Japs Japs

    Masao,
The Boles fowls from Bobby that he gifted to the late Monching Mitra would have to be bred cockside as no hens was given. Mitra bred the fowls from Bobby to his Mitra56 lines and to the local native Parawakan from Palawan while Serge Capistrano bred-crossed it to Western fowls. Serge also use a big fowl coming from Japan, brought as an egg by a Filipina and hatched here. Serge said that they fought the stags at less than 10 months as at over a year they are too big. He also said it's a line of fowl a Japanese syndicate use in their cock fights.

I also bred the Boles halves from Serge cock side. I only bred brother-sister 1x on certain blends. I develop as many families from a single cock to find out where they blend best, breed back or crisscross the better blends for prepotency according to a certain set of standard. I had on different ocassions purchased 3 more halves from Serge to beef -up the line. I 'm happy maintaining and retaining the Boles dom, blacks and had develop Oriental blends in different proportions of asil/japs to maintain and retain the lines, the 4 Boles halves are all bred into one bred to a certain set of standard................................thanks
