Is this same Vermex? I don’t think so.

    who uses flubenvet?

Some use ivermectin and it was next wormer I’m debating..but some administer it down throat, but I read another, two drops on skin once a week for 3 weeks.. that seems a lot. When put in perspective probably ten pound farm chicken though..

    Flubevent and other options

Levamisole is is suppose to get gape worms, Valbazen will kill all worms so use wazine17 first than Valbazen 10 days later is what I got from salesmen.

Look up the dosages idk But wazine 17 and valbazen is what the feed stores have stocked..oh ivermectin too bovine country.

Just be carefull with ivermictin if its for cattle theyre very strong if your going to shoot it down the throat. They killed some of my broodstock gasping for breath and death after. I got adviced by one member here to inject them on the skin on earth ther leg and I will say it alot safer that way.

    Re: throat or gap worms

The proper dosage for ivermectin is one tenth of a cc for ten pounds of body weight. I have far exceeded this many times with no visible sign of a problem. I typically give one quarter cc to every bird down the throat.
You can run into problems with parasites that all die at once and clog the lungs.

Same here when using Ivormectin I use the cattle and give 1/4 to sometimes 3/8 if I pull too much. Never a problem with it That's down the mouth.

    Re: throat or gap worms

Were they using the injectable or the pour on? Wonder if they were to inject into mouth too fast and maybe went to the lungs if that could have happened? I have used Ivomec pour on and injectable for years and have been lucky to not have any problems. It seems to be a good wormer. Good luck to you in the future. I use injectable as you have been advised both orally and under the skin but use the pour on at .2 to .3 tenths under the wings on the bare skin.

That could be they shot it down into the air sacks. always shot injectable by mouth into the roof of the mouth near the back of the throat and you wont have that problem.

    Like to share this research.

Symptoms: Birds gape or yawn, young birds gape and stretch their neck out can suffocate. Infected birds yawn, grunt, gasp, sneeze, cough, choke; have loss of energy, little appetite, are weak and emaciated, have closed eyes, and will frequently shake the head to dislodge worms from windpipe.

    Possible Disease: Gapeworms.

Treatment: Levamisole, repeat treatment in ten days. Treat with thiabenadazole or levamisole. Re-worm in 10 days.

    Good Luck

U give 1cc per bird? Will that be fine on young stags and pullets or just full grown chickens?

    Re: throat or gap worms

ivermectin - 10 drops per cock, 8 per hen. never had a problem.
valbazen - 20-25 drops per cock. 18 per hen. never had a problem.
for gape worms you need levamisole. works best. you can buy it in a pellet.
    hope this helps.
