The Obama administration?s ?We the People? website is a petition-creation site on which Americans can voice their concern by posting a virtual petition. If this petition generates at least 150 signatures, it is posted on the White House website, and, according to Macon Phillips, the director of the Office of Digital Strategy, if it gets 5,000 signatures in 30 days, it ?will be reviewed and answered? by ?a standing group of White House staff? that will route the issue to other relevant offices to ?generate an official, on-the-record response.?
One petition currently looking for support on this website is calling for the investigation of the Humane Society of the United States for non-compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995.
The Humane Society of the U.S (****) is a very wealthy animal lobbying group operating under the guise of helping homeless animals. However, awareness of its possibly illegal lobbying activities was raised in a complaint formally submitted to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. Questions remain as to why the formal, 18-page complaint, with 153 pages of supporting documents that was received by a DOJ Attorney on August 4, 2011, and which alleges that the **** has failed to comply with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995, has largely been ignored.
We respectfully request that the Obama administration direct the IRS to thoroughly investigate the possible non-compliance of this organization with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995.

Thanks my friend, but only U.S. members of this site please. I should have stated that to begin with. If this petition gets moving, only legitimate signatures (U.S. residents) will count.
But please pass this link or post along to any U.S. resident you may know.
