you really can't tell a difference by looking at them. However Mr. Bennett bred his to his standard. About only way to know is if ya know what he bred for and the fowl had them traits. Even then it ain't no guarantee. That is why several people on hear tell people don't worry about color, names or looks. Go by performance.

    Re: Bob Bennett greys

I have been to Bob Bennetts farm many times, I have seen many WT Greene Greys over the years, from Blaine Greggs and Curtis Bolden , and have had the pleasure to deal with the Red Richardson Greys of Bob Howard from Ohio, the past 10 years. All of these families of fowl look very similar to each other. I would also say that with Grey coloring you can get quite a variation in the hen side. they can come buff, to silver, to dark silver, partidge, there is the occasional spangle too. depending on what you breed towards you can straighten that out, but it is in there. Note the Sammy Greys, those spangles descended from the Bennets. The best trait though of the straight regular greys is there tuffness and hardiness, and ability to take close inbreeding. the master breeders new what they were doing when they made these fowl. its our job to keep it going. thanks to red richardson, harold brown, madigan, sweater, bob bennett sr. and w.t greene. there all up at the big pit in sky, looking down with a smile on there face.

Green legged greys are always my favorite. Power and gameness. What happened to you're white legged grey. Is he even in your breeding program Cfighter?

flyinhigh940 jason is it? your the guy that sells chicken in oakridge? i bought a trio from you remember me? a trio of what is supposed to be a healthy chicken at least according to you,you know as you described it to me through the phone well rounded body, high station and what not, you even put up a picture of a beutiful cock a what you called an ace cock. But then when i received it, it was a sick chicken as thin as a paper and when i asked you to replace it you told me that i do not know anything about chickens and that even if you put a dog and a chicken together that i wouldn't know the difference between the two? and that you have been in this business for 30 yrs, well my friend you are in the wrong website if you think you can fool people here the way you did me i dont think so. And for those trio that i got from you they never made it to my farm. They became food to my pit bull here in US. So funny that you thought that I didn't know anything about a chicken. Tell you the thruth i have been around chickens since i was 8 been breeding for 22 yrs my father run 2 cockpits in our town Pagsanjan cockpit and Pagsawitan cockpit in Laguna, my father won the world slasher cup under the entry name of RFP argem coliseum in 2001 and so on and so forth just to name a few, and you, a peddler owes me the money that I paid for a sick chicken. And what did you say your credibilty was? AND TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WANTS TO BUY FROM THIS GUY PLS DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID TRUSTING THIS GUY. I ADVISE YOU TO SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS GUY IS A PEDDLER HIS USER NAME IN THE OAKRIDGE AUCTION IS flyinhigh940
