I only have my RHs for a while now but I have the same observation with the Lacys and Bruners I'm raising. The Lacy/Bruner combo is also looking good. My friend here Jim Bond (j007) I think describe them Bruners as like Hatch in a Roundhead body, lol...

Just sharing a little that I know about these birds.

Little I know got from my partner and his stepdad and the ones we showed. Partner and his stepdad have had them over 38 years my partner Joe is really up on them historically and experience. I dont remember 1/2 of what I used to know-lol partner slipping a little but got about 5 or 6 years to catch up with me. I am liking my Bruners my cock was gift from Joe 3 years back was baby stag I crossed them and bred them straight and like them alot my hens also come out of Joes stock but bought them from another friend was raising some also. So far the crossed with Hamlin looks good and the Grey Cross is a proven one and The Lacy cross is a winner as Billy Abbott used them b wred that way,Been bred to 4 webber Kelso,Hatch Claret and Albany all a successful cross in the Shows. been kept up after all these years still good although my partner says they are not beginner fowl a experienced feeder can get 100% out of them still. I didnt breed any straight last year but will this year Thanks Yall for bringing them up solid old Family dont need to forget them-Jim

I agree with most of the guys on here talking about the Bruners being more hatch like. Mine hit to the body a ton and shuffle alot when they get one knocked down. The worst thing in mine is they dont finish real well, they get one that quits fighting or is almost dead they loose intrest, but crossed with Butcher they show the same but finish better.

When I heard of how the Wild Thang throw it's feet... what I had in mind is like what I saw with them Butchers n pillow ... I hope it's no lesser than that. That will surely be trouble for everyone.... can't wait....

i have recently just gotten brunners. but one thing i can tell you is they have a 1/4th old timy white hackle blood in them, and that's where the straight comb comes from. the other 3/4 in them is ray alexzanderd roundhead. so some times a throwback will come back if u breed them to there cousin they will come out looking like a white hackle straight comb and all. just thought i would let yall know.

    Just curious.

What's the difference in fighting style, body conformation, character traits, attitude, cutting, etc... of Brunners to the Boston Roundheads?

Letting go of this honest blood will make competition a lot tougher wherever it is going... whew. It's like selling WMD to Iran.
