I thought James Silvester sold out. His fowl have done very well in tough competition though. Don't know about larry though but heard good things about him.

Try Rat Graves PennyHatch3303 his hatch bloodline is similar to James Silvester. Besides Rat Grave Hatch is proven in Mexico with great success. Also his bloodlines are cheaper than James.

I've been thinking about getting a Albany or grey pullet when I get the hatch to cross to my McLean cock from him.

My Mexican buddies got the Greys from Larry about 3 years ago... they are very impressed with them... so much that they insisted I take a cock... I like him a lot.

I'd say that if you were to dye a Grey & a McLean the same color so you couldn't tell them apart... then sparred them... you'd think they were full brothers...

If I had to pick and wanted to spend all that money I would go with the Sylvester lines over the Romero, Romero gets big praises on this forum but in the real world and current events James is tuff as heck anywhere he stands and in any weapon on his own, not what somebody who has them has to say.

I know Romero has good birds but haven't seen his hatches do well in big competition in Mexico. Haven't seen them In GDL, nor Jerez Sac. nor in las ferias de San Marcos or in Mexico City. Now Have seen James Sylvester/Richard Wilbourn tandem with some green legged hatches steal the show most of the places they have been. Maybe Richard Wilbourn is the man with the success.
