Re: Ray Christian Sid Taylor's "sport"
this is the only brassback or (sport) i raised this year, i have full brothers to him but they are all black, the female i sent was of the number 4 line, one i had planned on useing myself as i never raised that many females this past season, the stag has not finished his tail out yet as they have beautiful plumbage , i spoke with him on the phone and he was very happy with the stage and he loved the female, thanks for posting.

dear sir, first and formost thank you, these that come this color we call (SPORTS)every brassback that i have raised have came from solid black parents,i have used brassbacks in the breeding pen but always get black fowl, some solid black and some with brass on the wing bows, i have been told by the old timers that had sid fowl that this was a throw back from the old log cabin blood that were used or put in them many years ago, this stag has green legs, but they will come blue legged as well, i believe that this sid family has been used to make many of our modren day game fowl as well as some of the older familys as well,i have found no difference in the way the different colors perform, your friend, Mr. Ray Christian.

Jorge,
There were no records kept of transactions.
I see no reason for any authorization. Jake liked chickens.
By the way, "Log Cabins" were black with red wings, not black and not
red.

Re: Ray Christian Sid Taylor's "sport"
I know of two different sids I have seen over the years. One family has red spots on the wings and the other yellow on the wings. Now I am no expert on either families but both are very nice. I know two old men and each one have one of the two like I talk about. You cannot even get feather from either men. Can someone who knows tell me the difference between the two families and if you was to breed the red to the yellow what would come out yellow or red or both. Just have always wonder about this. Thanks for your time in advance.

you are so very right, as most sid breeders would not let a feather go, not even an egg, but as to your question about wing bow color, mine will throw solid black, black with gold sholders or black with red sholders they were like that when i got them from mr. hunt, oh and every once in awhile i'll get a brasseyback i call them sports, mr. hunt called them copper kettles, hope this helps.

Thank you sir! I have had them little over a year. Unfortunately I didn't get to breed them last year, so I'm not sure how offspring will turn out as far as color goes. I'm just wondering if most will turn out solid black like I hope.
