"Typically" the Lk and Sk because of their speed and tenacity and lack of bottom pure for the gaff. The good ones can be shown in all 3 though it depends what family you get.

    Re: Sweaters

when otis got sweaters from sonny ware they are already junk it was carol who revived the sweaters infusing ray hoskins yellow leg hatch into them. the modern day sweaters are alot better, better cutters and fast and very vicious you just need a good hatch family to cross them with.

    Re: Sweaters

That maybe what they used for down south but up north sweaters are what ya wear when it is cold. The wool ones will keep you real warm in the winter. LOL

it depends on who you get them and finding good ones are hard. I have yet to see any sweaters i would own they lack gameness from what I have seen over the years.

i had sonny's sweaters back in the day, came direct from sonny.i showed them in gaff, usually crossed on kelso or hatch.
i would have to say they were pretty good gaff birds at that point in time.
funny thing about them they were excellent stag fowl but when they cocked out then they became pretty average fowl.not sure the reasons behind it but we noticed that alot about them.
i no longer have them because i felt i had better an wanted to cut back to 3 breeds.
