    White Mugwumps????

Was looking up history on the Racey Mugs. Found that they were made with white Mugwump blood. The only place I have ever heard of this blood is in very old gamefowl magazines. Are there still white Mugwumps out there.

I have an old family of Wilson Mugs, they have been known to come solid white but I've never raised one other than the white in their tail at times.

You can try Walter G Hall from MO. He has three family of Mugs Brownred, Blk and white.

W.G.Hall has a monthly ad that runs in the Gamecock. He's a good guy to deal with.I have his Black mugs they come anywhere from black to brownred and his Blue mugs that come Blue, black and spangled. The spangled ones have a lot of white on them but I've never gotten a solid white one. They are both good families of chickens.

I have been meaning to take the gamecock again. Have not had a new one for years. Looking up Hall gives me a good enough reason to take it again.

yes I beleave it was a white cock bred in, that is why raceys come with alot of color. Some of mine will have a white wing feather or two on wing edge. Alot of racey mug hens will have a white splotch on their throat and chest. Others are black, br, ect, , even blue. My experiance with racey mugs are they are true game fowl that are 100% fine

Thanks guys. Seemed silly to ask. Just wanted to make sure. I had two come almost solid white this year. Im sure they will end up being a splash blue. One is a stag and the other is a pullet. There are just 3 or so months old.

No question is silly...if you don't know you just don't know and you won't know unless you ask....as far as Uchee Pines goes Jim is a heck of a nice guy and his mugs are athletic but they are not game...not bashing anybody but I was asked so I'm giving a honest answer

I have not liked very many Mugs I have been around. Like the Racey Mugs I have now and the man that got me into birds back in the 90s had some damn good ones. Thanks for the info.

Wayne Chapman had the best mugs you could get at one time...we were very good friends for a long time... he quit the game several years ago and we lost touch over time... don't know if he has birds now or not

I was just browsing a copy of cocking magazine(1995) several days ago and saw a small ad of the "Mug Man".Got me interested because there are may versions of dark fowls out there...Mcreas,Brownreds sometimes you see a nice family of Black Roundheads and there's the Mugs.
