Hey buddy! That's a beautiful place in Kentucky! This is my first time logging into this forum. Can't figure out how to post an initial message to everyone, so I thought I would reply to you. I read some of the posts about copper state earlier and that was what made me join this website. I worked for Doyle Thompson for three years in the 80s in central California. I would like to brag about my chickens. I got some of my best and first chickens from Doyle at that time. I got my Greys and my Pennys when Sherill Penny and his son Terry came to the farm and brought Doyle some hatches. And I have had great luck with all of them. At this time, my grandpa Grey will be 30 years old next month....no lie. I will try to figure how to post some pics of my farm and some of my awesome chickens. I would love to keep in touch with anyone that is interested in talking chicken or checking out my farm, here in central California.

I was in Kentucky early this month for a wedding actually. I actually HAD to go to Kentucky. Lucky me right? So I took advantage of my one day off from wedding preparations and festivities to do some chicken touring.

Well, my friend and Partner John, who lives in Kentucky prepared a day for me that was really great!

It so happened that Dink Fair had recently moved to the Bluegrass State as well... Does it get any better?

So we planned a day to visit Dink and his new farm and I'll keep this short and let the pictures speak for themselves...

Paradise! Kentucky is so beautiful and this farm is an example of it.

Just teepees and farm land as far as the eye can see. And no high fences as there are no thieves in this part of the world.

    John and Dink

    Me and Dink.

Dink's range area. A whole jungle.

True "Free Range." This really gives the birds the edge in health and vigor

Awesome Farm dude. its a nice place for that

My dad's side of my family is from southeast Kentucky nothing like the Appalachians, even though that looks like west Kentucky because of the farm land it's very beautiful he has put in long hard continuous hours for that farm to look that way anyone should be proud to have succeed to that with their farm and should have good chickens if he takes that good of care of his farm.the older generation in Kentucky are hard workers( not the younger generation so much though )

    Re: A Day with Dink

First time I ever met Dink was at Mid America. He was very busy with three shows that day, but as things slowed down he would make a point to come talk Chickens with me & gave me advice I still use today.. I thought his farm in Oklahoma was unbelievable & it had nothing on this farm..
    Dink is good people.!!!
