I watched a man show some Jimmy East kelso back 10+ years ago and they made fighting look easy. They would absolutely demolish their opponent with ease. The best kelso I have ever seen if not the best roosters i have ever seen. I watched that man win a six cock in the gaff and I'm not positive but I don't think a fight went over 2 min. Seen him win a many derby with those and they was so good he went to Virginia and won a big lk derby with them and got featured on the tukaan breeder of the week because of those kelsos.

Some of the highest breaking and fastest I seen were Jumpers. Excellent for what used to be the American LK.

Just heard of the John Bishop kelso last year and they said it's really good fowl. What's the history on this kelso? Some breeders tells me to have a kelso in your breeding program and always keep them.

A few years ago, there was a cocker from around the West Virginia / Kentucky border that showed up at a show of pure 20K Kelso's.
He said the had just bought them 6 weeks before and they broke as high as the lights and were very athletic. He didn't win the show but was impressive.

To my knowledge it's dink/jumper type kelso but who knows what john put in them. They are great quality chickens for sure. Kelso for me is a good breed to have around a good solid family of kelso. Can't go wrong with that
