I don't know about the best, but I'm pleased with the Lynwood Kelsos that I got from Mr. Jerry Lawrence. They are white legged and very smart.

I like the Massa line from Emmanuel Massa. buddy of mine has a trio direct from him, and I've been working with a few of the crosses. fast birds, nice station.

John Bishop Kelso of Nelson Uy in Riverside, California.... The best kelso with a best price. Nice cutting birds. Lots of Bigtime Breeders in the Phils. are after him.

About 3 years ago, we inherited a family of Doc Robinson Kelso from an old timer who got out of sports. So far, we like what they are straight bred and next season we will be trying some that are crossed to our YLHs.

Sir Engkanto, Happy New Year to you sir... KelsoxYLH sounds like a very promising cross. BTW, how did your 2016 stags do in the Phils sir? I hope they did well. Take care.

    Re: Kelso

Depending your style of show I second Sam Ezell.

No complaints here for the SK, straight or crossed, but I've been told they need crossing for the American show.

    Re: Kelso

I agree with aguazarca the the Sam Ezell kelso also known as the Tennesse kelso. Are best short knifes battle crosses were 1/2 kelso 1/2 leiper. Good cutters and bottom in the short lines.

    Re: Kelso

We have about 7-8 kelso stags out of the trio Larry romero sent and in digging them suckers so far. Seem all around and fast. John Bishop Kelsos are a solid strains of kelso too. I like both the bishops and Larry romero kelsos

    Re: Kelso

Years back I bought some hatches Kelso crosses from Luke at Sycamore Valley and they weren't good. A few did ok but for the most part they were very cold roosters. I was Very Disappointed.

Travis Clark Stone County King Kelso's are pretty good. Sonny Lagon crossed to the Johnny Bishops to them and made his Machine Gun Kelsos.

    Re: Kelso

If by Charlie Greer you mean Charles Greer (Ridgerunner) I've heard fantastic things but he got sick and no longer has fowl AFAIK.

He was a member here and we exchanged a few PMs, and I regret never getting some of his Kelsos.

sorry for the late reply cockmate.... 9092634387. I talked to him the other month, It was him who acquired most of the stock from John Bishop before JB passed away. Though Nelson sell his JB Kelso with a higher price compared to other breeders. $1,000 for a broodstag
