    I'm back

Hey guys, I've decided to come back as I miss being able to post on certain subjects. I admit that I still checked in everyday to see what's new. I enjoyed being a part of such a huge fraternity. Despite the few knuckleheads I have respect for the genuine gentlemen on this club. Even though I'm an Asil man I felt welcomed by most. I hope I can be of service to those interested in Asils and Asian Games in general. Good to be back, Disciple

    Re: I'm back

Thanks Durazno, I have my Boricua line of Asils, Dr.Dave Rampuris, Bill Ross Atkinson from Dr Dave and I have my Vietnamese Gadon. I also have access to Saab Brazilians from my partner, I have a stag from him at this time. The Brazil's are a 6 pound average wieght. The Gadon are 6 to 8 pounds. The Asils are 4 to 6 pounds.

    Re: I'm back

I'm not too familiar with asils. I've never breed any pure. A good solid line of oriental is becoming the norm on most yards. Which do you believe to be the best for crossing onto American fowl? If I had to take a poke at it I'd go with a medium wieght/ station breed with a little more speed than normal for a asil.

    Re: I'm back

The real Atkinson and Rampuri Asils are a good choice. Also the the smaller type Brazilians are very good. I hear good things about Jerry Hamlin's Asils too. This is just a few to think about. Don't go by breed names but go by the breeders integrity for good honest chickens. The good ones are few and far between.

Welcome back! I have about 15 of those little high headed low tailed rascals running my yard. If these don't work out I think I'll stick to what I know.

    Re: I'm back

That's funny, Magadas aren't even pure Asils, I wouldn't have them on my yard. Saw one in person many years ago at Billy Brogdons Riverside club, and he was obviously not pure

I traded Bamma Warrior a mug cock for a 1/2 Hamlin asil/1/2 Walter Hall mug. He through me some real nice stags. Lost the cock but am breeding his son back to mug hens. They are not the dodging slow to strike type.
