A true Rooster Man until the end. My prayers go out to the family. The passing of someone who has been important in your life always creates an absence. Life is never quite the same and the range of emotions we experience is sometimes overwhelming. Please know that there are many like me who are thinking of you all.

Another one of the old timers that have seen the sport at it's best,it's worst and all in between has passed on.Whether you liked him or not I think he was one of the best all around rooster men the sport has ever known. Not only was he a great breeder but he was one of the best pitters I ever saw.He was a better than average feeder and also a very tough gambler. In my opinion he was in the top 5 all around rooster men the sport has ever known.Lot's of people could best him in certain areas of the sport but from shell to pit to the actual show he was in a league of very elite company.R.I.P.Oscar,you will be missed.RCR

Oscar was most definitely one of the greatest. Lots of history in thst man and he was as game as the fowl he raised. I always enjoyed being around him

My Prayers to the Family and Friends, He was one of the greatest rooster men that I have known, ranks up there with Duke Hulsey, Joe Goode, Frank Steele and so many others that have passed.

RIP Oscar, your name was always associated with the big Leagues as long as I been in chickens. I'd wager no other American cocker participated in more big derbies in their lifetime. Cocker to the end

I never said I don't respect Oscar, he has won more derbies than most have. He is one of the all time greats and when u met him u better have a good one because he will. All I was saying is he got whipped, we have all got whipped. I was telling the guy that said he won that he didn't. If u took it I was disrespectful toward Oscar than i typed it wrong because I have nothing but respect for him and his roosters.

It's crazy he is gone because he looked good Saturday, he had good color and was having fun. Just goes to show u that u can be gone just like that. Oscar was always showing at the toughest pits and was a great rooster man. Praying for his family.
